2019 F 150 5 0 V8 oil change

First oil change on my 2019 Ford F150 with 5.0 V8 engine. A tour around the undersides of a FX4 Off-Road model, some tricks to reduce potential messy oil removal from poor design. A Ronin all metal plug is installed in place of the yellow plastic stock plug offering easy future changes since a hose can be attached and directed for easy drain. A view of access to the front of the engine and oil filter location. Another area of potential mess when the filter is removed. And finally the oil life reset process. The products I chose for my change are displayed at the end of the video. Hope this helps someone out with their vehicle maintenance.

For 2019 Ford is proud to feature its new groundbreaking Super-Splatter Technology™ system. The plastic oil plug hole, thin 5W-20 oil, and perfectly positioned sway bar all work in unison to evenly distribute drained oil around the entire surrouding area, including any and all personnel present. This rain-like dispersion provides a larger flow path, draining oil much more quickly than the old-fashioned single-pour-column, so quickly the owner under the vehicle has no hope of getting out of the way before they are splattered with oil. :)

The first time I changed oil in my 2019 F-150 I was shocked out how much splatter there was. Between the thin oil and the unfortunately placed sway bar, draining oil from this vehicle is a terrible mess. I had half my body covered in oil the first time I did it. With your method I hope to do better this time.

I mean, next time show how you screw and unscrew the plug. Put the camera down somehow and show more details in your videos from now on.

I got 1 tip I can offer you if you already haven’t done it. I use a clear tube and slip it on the ronin draining plug thing that screws into pan for draining and then you can fully open the drain cause tube runs into your drain bucket.
