I just got my very first truck, a 2020 F150 with the 5.0L Coyote, traded in my 2018 Focus for it. I am no gear head and have never had much interest in cars or trucks because I never thought I'd be able to afford a cool one. I was very hesitant on getting this truck. it was expensive, but in my price range. Still, why spend extra money? What caught my interest is when they said it had a V8. Even a noob like me wouldn't want a big ass truck with a little V6 in it and I thought that was all I could afford. So, I test drove it.... Holy shit!

It is something else driving a big powerful truck around, especially compared to all the cheap cars I've owned in the past. I had to get used to the throttle! Now I am in love with trucks and all I have been doing is watching videos like this lately. Thank you so much for the info and making me feel better about my purchase!

after driving 3/4 ton Ram Cummins diesels for 19 years I traded for an 2015 F150 5.0. I bought the truck for this specific engine. Simple, not stressed, no complex turbos, no cylinder de-activation, no direct injection, an engine with 400, 000 miles potential life in it. After 3 years of driving, I'm happy with my choice. And of course nothing sounds like a V8. :)

Just bought my first truck a few days ago. 2016 F150 Xlt 5liter V8. I bought it because I heard they are super reliable. Hopefully they keep making them.

2013 5.0 XLT Supercab 185k miles, just returned from 3500 mile road trip, got 19 mpg average. Still kicks like a Mule! They did Ford history proud with the Coyote name (AJ Foyte) and continued pushing forward with the new modular designs potential.

I love my 2019 5.0 Coyote. Makes really good power and has a ton more potential. And if I was buying a truck for towing I would go Diesel, wouldn't even consider the ecoboost.

I have a 2013 F-150 supercab 5.0 with 250000 miles and it's still running VERY good. I love my truck. Thanks for the shout-out to the 5.0.

I have a 2019 XLT 5.0 and I love it! No turbo' s to fail and cost a ton of money to fix. Awesome truck!

Actually the F150 didn’t get the 5.0 until 2011. The 09-10 still had the three valve 5.4 triton. I’m on F150 number 6, and I keep going back to the 5.0 and from this point on I’ll only own a V8 truck as long as I can. I had two ecoboost trucks and they were great, but I just love hearing the sound of the Coyote.

Awesome video brother, I have a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 160, 000 miles on it and still going strong and its a beast and it sounds like a beast with the Borla ATAK exhaust on it as well.

2016 XLT Super Crew with the 5.0L Coyote and I couldn't ask for anything better!!! They perfected the V8 with this motor and I hope they keep it around forever. I will ALWAYS buy an F150 with a V8 if I had the choice!!! Very happy!

My 2012 XLT Ecoboost has been a good truck for the past 10 years, never failed me. But whenever I get chance to hop in my company’s 2016 F150 and listen to the music coming from that 5.0L it always puts a smile on my face! But I’m still on the fence between the two for my next truck.

I've had a 2013 FX4 ecoboost since new and has been a great truck. The 5.0 with a supercharger would be sick tho. Hard to beat that 5.0 sound with an exhaust!

Yesterday I purchased a 2022 F150 XLT in Iconic Silver with a 5.0 Coyote. I've been waiting for months for my dealer to get some of them in. Finally they did.

5.0 is a legendary rock-solid V8 with crazy potential tucked away, that arguably gives you the best power for its size off the lot, and it loves higher rpms, where it really screams all day long.

I’ve had 2 eco boost and just bought my first 5.0 and it’s working out better tbh

Nobody has a crystal ball on any truck. But, the main thing is, if you take care of your truck, the odds are in your favor that it will take care of you regardless of 3.5 or 5.0. This fact is WAY more important than the engine itself imo. My Eco now has 92, 000 miles on it, running strong. The main difference to me is the low RPM range on the Eco vs the higher RPM range on the 5.0. I have a 33 foot trailer I tow, my mind likes the fact that the engine doesn't have to revolve as much in the ECO vs the 5.0 when towing up (and down) hills. The Eco just glubs along at 2.5k, nice and easy, that crankshaft never gets too excited. It does sound like my high school honda though.
