2018 5.0l Platinum owner here. Bought it in September and didn't start making this noise until about 2k miles on it. Took it in with this TSB number and they told me they did the reflash. Did not fix the issue. Engine also makes a "squeeking" noise when sitting at idle. The dealer said they could not duplicate the noise. I have a 2001 5.4l Triton F-150 with 206k miles on it and never had any problems with it like this. Thanks for the video though, you do a great job.

Thank you SO MUCH. I’ve been trying since I bought my ‘18 to figure out what that noise was. Truck drives perfect but always made this noise. I always thought it was something wrong with my drive shaft. This video has been so helpful. Keep doing God’s work 👍🏻

Well at 4900 miles my truck started doing it. Had the dealership update the PCM and when I started it this morning and drove it down the road it still does it.

Should the PCM update/flash they do for Oil Consumption also fix this issue? It has not in my 2018 F150 5.0, nor has the oil consumption stopped (regardless of what the dealer says).

Had this TSB done couple days ago, so far the rattle is completely done for me.

I have 3200 miles on my truck, brought it in to the dealership, they did the TSB but it’s still there.

On your behalf it is a great gesture to offer to fix the TSB 18-2354 at your service facility for free. However, in today's world be careful as any issues that may arise after your repair could come back to haunt you. Unless Ford would back you in such a case. I've been there being the nice guy and getting stung in the end.

Huge thank you for the info on this! Initially my dealer had no clue what my complaint was until I showed them this TSB. I will say, the TSB does NOT fully fix the noise but it does make it a little more quiet.

Still need to take it back in for the rear end clunk though.

FYI-I had this TSB performed and it fixes the problem, but it takes time for truck to “re-learn”. This is not an instant fix, but each day the noise gets better
