Just took delivery of a 5.0 XLT Coyote today and I do love it. I had a 2014 STX 5.0 (stolen) and while I didn't want to have to upgrade a paid-off rig with 80k miles, I have no remorse. I didn't realize it would take these comparable trucks at 0-60 but nice to see.
I wouldn't consider anything but the 5.0 anyway but due to highest pricing here in South Louisiana, I had to buy it 700 miles north to save quite a bit on the sticker. I've already ordered OEM-style Bed Lighting kit and Rough Country Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau from you guys to come next week. It's only the beginning of my upgrades from American Trucks. Fair matchup because the 6.2 is not available is not available in the most common trim like the Ford and Ram. So yea, for the most part Ford and Ram trucks will blow the doors off the average GM truck on the road.

My 2018 F150 5.0 stock with 3.73 did a 1/4 mile in 14.3 sec in 2wd! Its lifted now 7.5 inches with trac bars and 20x12 with 35s and still faster from a dig againt my friends 2018 Ram 1500 leveled with 20x12 33s! These 5.0 are fast trucks really puts you in the seat! Everyone that has driven or road in my truck has said the same!

I don't buy a truck to drag race with. There is a reason the Ram has won Truck of the year 3 years in a row and is by far the fastest growing brand in the field! Just get in one and make a 4 hour drive and you will fall in love! It is the nicest and most comfortable by far.

I know this is a biased race, but it just sounds silly that you "you need a 6.2L Chevy to match up with a Ford 5.0". What are they doing with 8 speed transmissions in the first place? But i have to admit, power for size in a truck engine, nobody has a real answer for that coyote.

Rear end gears had a lot to do with the outcome as well.
Chevy 3.42
Ram 3.21 ( highway gears for milage)
Ford 3.55
Don't get me wrong, I'm Ford guy and the EcoBoost would have taken all of them.

If that hemi had the 3.92 rear end would have been faster by a good bit a good race would be the 5.0 with the 3.73 vs the 5.7 with the 3.92 🤘🏼 wish I would have got the 3.92 in my truck for sure

Not a chevy fan but it should've been the 6.2 but sadly you can't get one in lower trims like ford and ram.
