I had good luck using Costco’s mortgage service during my refi last year. It’s effectively like Costco is the broker, and the fee you pay them is your membership fee.

I went to a mortgage broker here in FL to see if I qualify. Found I have couple credit issues to clean up, which is fine. With that said, they can't seem to return a phone call/email to give me a copy of my report or exact items. Since I can't get the courtesy of a phone call/email when I am ready to buy I won't be using that company. It is those small things that will cause someone to lose my business.

I think the pandemic has taught people the importance multipled streams of income, unfortunately having a job doesn't mean financial security
