AP Classes Explained...

You may have heard of AP classes… but what are they, what do they do, and why should you care? AP stands for Advanced Placement, these are classes offered by the College Board. Personally, we think that if you have the ability to do some kind of PSEO program (taking classes at a local college) that is typically the better, more efficient route. But for schools that don't have that option, AP classes are a great alternative.

Downside you have to pay for the test at the end and the credits earned all hinge on what you score on that single exam.

You can also get college credit through your local university with dual enrollment. It counts for both high-school and college and since you're enrolled through the high-school there is no tuition. You also get graded like a normal class rather than having everything pinned on one test.
