Having a graphics card consuming 600W is ecological nonsense! The future is low consumption. We must aim for the same performance with much less energy. I'm waiting for a card with the power of a 7900GRE (which is more than enough for me) but consuming 3 times less.

My room turns into a fricken sauna, just dumping about 400 watts from my current pc setup already! I couldn't imagine running an i9 and a 4090/5090 doing 700-800 watts.. yikes!

The 9700x offers better performance than the 7700x while using nearly half the TDP, similar to that of the 7700 non-X.
That is an incredible engineering feat that so many are simply just not appreciating enough.
Also, the lower TDP means less heat generation which means slower degradation. Your Zen5 CPU will perform at its best for much longer than a Zen4 chip.
It's not just all about gaming and FPS 🙄🙄 The 9000 series is getting too much unnecessary hate.

6:40這些圖表的功率(65W 105W 120W)應該是"設定值"，這圖表並沒有提供實測功率值 跟頻率-時間圖表。
應該還要觀察實測功率的情況跟頻率是否有上升 來看設定值是否有誤(BUG)。
有看到一個博主用65W設定值 實測是88W，若開放PBO 溫度牆限制 可以跑到180W左右 有大約15%的遊戲性能增加。

I don't think anyone who has $2000 to spend on the top GPU out there skimps on the PSU, maybe there are statistical outliers but it's a small percentage.

In other words, the 5090 isn’t meant for gaming but to train AI at a crazy speed and the 5080 is a 4090 with a slightly lower power consumption. Great 😐

i love the "mid to high end prosumer market" that is why i come here to follow the tech 🤓
but for now, i am still at 65w and under total system power consumption, and for gaming quest 2 is good enough
i do not need a 200w cpu or 500w gpu or a 1200w psw just to play a game , run a few chrome tabs or to heat your room

Think at best the 5090 RRP price will be around £1699 with board partners around £1999 and the 4090 dropped to £1299 with board partners around £1599
