Still win win for valve because more people will start playing games on pc

Asus shouldn’t forget that usability wins over raw specs, Valve Index and Apple products have proved that over and over.

The thing asus loses vs the steam deck is customer support, asus customer service is god awful, meanwhile Valve solved a major issue with my steam deck the same day

Its hard to compete without SteamOS, they will release a new Steam Deck in a couple years.

I don't care, I love mine regardless. It has its usees. Besides, they are doing what they can in terms of updates and fixes.

Lets be real if someone wanted the best gaming performance they would play on a gaming desktop. Steam Deck has the price for performance beat atm.

As someone who got stuck in the trap of upgrading I know why valve isn't updating for awhile. There is always to be new and faster technology and you can't expect manufacturers to update their devices everytime new cpus drop or new types of ram or storage get announced. I remember I got my deck a year after being announced and people were already speculating there will be a deck 2 soon. Which if true would have given me some serious buyers remorse. I feel with the smartphone market having constant releases it has made people expect new releases for most devices even though its not very realistic.

To be fair, I’d prefer the steam deck with the amazing built in steam support, and great battery life compared to the more powerful counterparts

I'm still waiting on the finished product.

I'd still pick a Deck over the Ally: trackpads, better controller button mapping, better interface, and games run better at a 10W TDP limit then the Ally

And that's saying nothing of Decky loader, CryoUtilitys, and the countless amount of Decky plugins

The Deck seems to be a big winner, the only thing the Ally has going for it in my opinion is the ability to plug in an external GPU, big woop, it's a handheld, I don't really care all that much about better frames docked when I can just play it handheld

Tbh steam deck still wins steam os pretty good and optomized, steam deck price is very good support is great and i am in Australia lol got it when i was in america the amount of controlls is very nice and helps alot and plays alot of the games great battery life can be crazy had nearly 14 hours on full charge playing games while on plane, and lets be real here someone is 100% gonna slap that chip into the steam deck,

Compared to rog ally price is pretty high Aud dollars not worth at all

Very limited amount of controls in hardware and firmware
Windows 11 is terrible for handheld,
Lets be real who is gonna use 120 hrz when gaming outside, and poof all that battery drainage is gonna be fast boy 😂😂😂 to use external graphics cards we have to wait for thirdparty tech so it be way cheaper even then whats the point it cost alot

No hate just pointing some facts i do like how more companies is making handhelds
