The really low amazon prices for the AMD CPUs is a scam. Already a few youtube videos on people trying it and the order is cancelled by the seller later. I think it was paul's hardware that I saw it on first.

Hey, take down this video, those prices for the 7000 are an scam, since those prices are only on Amazon from not trustworthy sellers... Not Amazon

Those claiming the discounts I mentioned being fake are WRONG. The ones I'm discussing are on the official AMD Amazon store. They have NOTHING to do with the story about fake Ryzen CPUs being sold. Also, so sorry about that cut out in the first section of the video. I did a render to fix something else, and it just added that for whatever reason. Either way, I've cut it out in YouTube. It'll just take a little while to update this version.

I'm not sure the 9950x getting a 4.6% price drop is big of a deal...

The (8%) represent an 8% drop quarter on quarter revenue. 2.6 is 11.5% of 22.6B revenue.

People need to start holding on to their rig.. if you have Ryzen 2000 series and above you're not left behind.
Tech manufacturer are driving the hype that doesn't really exist and driving the price insanely high.

Wait Brain, you mean to tell me that if AMD continuously pumps out new models of CPU's, people are eventually going to reach a point where they have no need to buy a new CPU except for performance gains/bragging rights only, and when the CPU doesn't deliver on that front, they don't buy any; thus forcing retailers to drop prices? Say it isn't so! Narf

On the one hand NVidia abandoning the gaming market is bad because less competition. On the other hand the way their prices have been going it could be argued competition was going to lessen anyway. So instead of NVidia vs AMD it's probably going more in the direction of AMD vs Intel in the coming years.

Interesting. Did AMD optimize Zen 5 architecture for high core count? Thus consumer parts have a modest uplift and Epyc has 2x performance gain?

As a consumer that sucks. As an AMD investor, Wow what a stellar business move.

Life is short. Yes, you should splurge yourself. Get that crazy new tech. My buddy who was into all this stuff has always behaved and talked this way. And now hes gone. Im glad he had got to enjoy all the best stuff this generation. Rtx4090, 7800x3d, OLED...

prices for 7800x3d skyrocket in europe (3 month ago ~330€ now 380€+) since ryzen 9000 launch. even the 5800x3d price increased.
ryzen 9000 perf is meh compared to 7000 and not worth an upgrade nor the higher prices compared to 7000.
btw. never compare with amazon or ebay prices. these are not reliable sources/sellers.

I found 2 7950x3d's yesterday on Amazon for 450 and ordered both. By this morning Amazon said the orders were canceled...damn

@gamermeld A little issue with your reading there, Those are changes of Quarter over quarter. That was showing that there was a decrease of 8 percent on the revenue (Or maybe a reduction of 8% with the differential in revenue. A growth in one revenue decreases revenue total in another. But I believe the first is true. )

In other words the gaming revenue is actually 10% which might be (8%) down with means it might have been 2.83 billion in revenue in the last quarter.
And the Data center being up 23% is crazy but what is even more crazy is that the Data center is actually 86% of their revenue. This means that the revenue was near 18.4 billion.

I know that this wasn't that important but enhances your point even more with stating the correct info.

Usually on amazon when the item is out of stock the listing defaults to third party sellers and scams listings.

*NVidia is not going to abandon gamers...*
You can't just look at revenue, profit etc when trying to analyze this. There are a lot of advantages to dominating the Gaming market that translate into the AI space. Not to mention there are GROWTH potentials in the future once STREAMING becomes more capable. A lot of the research that applies go GAMING such as DLSS AI upscaling is based on machine learning so these aren't exactly SEPARATE expenses between gaming and AI. There's overlap. There's also a certain amount of ADVERTISING benefits when you can prove your products work in the gaming space. And letting AMD and/or Intel take over gaming can give them revenue to compete with NVidia in the AI space so it's not just about making PROFIT but preventing others from competing.
It's actually complicated.

Always make sure that those deals are being sold directly from amazon, I've come across many deals that seems to good to be true and sure enough they were sold by scam sellers.

The AI bubble is not so bad. It pushes Nvidia to create stronger GPUs and once the bubble burst we will get great GPUs for a good price. Just like what happened with the Mining bubble

i tried to buy the 7800x3d 2 times when the price dropped a lot. It went from $344 to $278 a few months back so i bought it but AMZ canceled the order next day and had to wait a week for refund. I tried again last week bc the price went from $419 down to $309, again AMZ canceled the order and i am still waiting for this refund. I thin someone is scamming the pages for with lower prices that will never be real sales. ONLY buy when it says AMAZON as the seller and shipper to not get money held for long times as pending.
