They frown because they have to deal with buying a new engine and transmission if there worn out.

"As long as the truck was taken care of"

There's like 3 people on this side of the country that legitimately take care of their truck bro

My buddy has a 2006 silverado with over 500k on a 4.8 with factory trans, transfercase and axles. He does PMs on heavy trucks, so maintenance is important to him.

I bought a F150 with 210, 000 miles on it,
The truck drove and looked amazing just needed little things fixed like light bulbs and worn out interior parts, but it was well maintained and runs smooth as butter, I would buy another one

Just bought an 04 silverado with 227k on it, got a pretty good deal. Runs pretty decent. it helps that my work commute is only 2 miles round trip. Beats buying a new truck.

Having a truck with high mileage is a badge of honor especially if you've put the miles on it yourself. High mileage for a truck nowadays is 300k. So 200k doesn't scare me and there's ways to see if it's been taken care of look at the interior for one then the fluids and overall condition of the truck

I love high mileage vehicles. Im a sucker for not letting these machines go to waste and saves so much money especially with no car payments.

My truck had the seat worn in the same way, I was able to get a cover and cushion off of eBay for $50, and had a local shop replace it for $150. Not only does it look better, it feels way better also.

My last truck was a 05 gmc Sierra with a 5.3. Best truck ever. Got it up to 278k miles until I needed to replace the rear main seal. Ended up selling it and it’s still going strong from what I can tell

Just about every vehicle once it goes into the 200k miles will need major replacemts done. Having to do injectors head gaskets or any other major repair if not a new engine will Total many older vehicles. If you like replacing shit go for it.

I bought a 1999 Chevy Tahoe with 212, 000 miles on it, it’s my daily…that’s only around 8k miles a year. And the CARFAX it was maintained perfectly.

I’m with you, people were afraid to buy old vehicles because they’ll look broke. That’s the problem they care about what people think.
