I have a 03 Silverado with 378, 000 miles and the trans finally went out. We built the 60 with a shift kit, hardened sun shell, and all the good piston upgrades, and it’s good to go for a long time more. Original motor, I just opened the oil pan for the first time in its life.

My 8.1 cateye has been great. Multiple friends with them also from 150k miles to 300k plus and no issues with any of them other than alternators and one water pump .

The Tacoma thing is 100% true because my grandpa has a 94 Toyota truck and all it needs atm is a clutch because the original one said goodbye last month

Re the 6.7 Dodge/Rams. The 6.7 was first available in 2007.5, without DEF and the rest of the emissions package. They were the Third Generation body style through 2009. I’m running a 2008 3500, Mega Cab, with the Laramie package. I’ve got a little over 250, 000-miles on it, and expect it to out live me.

I’ve got a 7.3 and just wanted to say how well it’s ran and the previous owner had taken it to Alaska twice and Texas at least once from Montana. I’m happy to see it on the list. Make a video for your favorite mods for your trucks please.🙏

Being from Utah Where it doesn’t get extremely cold but pretty cold switching to a 5.9 from a7.3 might have been the best choice I ever made

My Chevy '01 K1500 5.3 has 236k miles on it as of today. Needed a new transmission at 220k and a new fuel pump at 210k. Other than that, it has been a workhorse for me. I drive a 2021 2500HD silverado now, but still love the old 1500 and can't bring myself to sell it. Its like a member of the family. Been so many places in Utah's back country with it and got me through some pretty gnarly stuff over the years. Keep them full of fluids and they will take you most anywhere you want to go.

I currently drive a 4.8 07 Sierra classic body and it has 230, 000+. Planning on getting the engine broken down and rebuilt with some tunes to get that lifter tapping out the way.

03 Denali 6.0 430k and 04 Tahoe 5.3 230k. All redone, still waiting to do the drive trains. Just fix the leaks every 200k and move along

Of the LS based engines the ol’ 6.0 vortec takes the nod for me. I have had many with service body’s for work that I had to beat the snot out of and over loaded but they all went 300k miles and got traded in. The highest miles on a 6.0 vortec I’ve seen was a Chevy express 3500 box van and the thing had 564, 000 miles.
