Good advice but I would say cut that 10 seconds in the same shot down to 5 at the most and 2 for most shots. It is amazing just how long 10 seconds feels if the camera sticks with the same shot.

Nice info for the people new to making YouTube videos. It surprises me the number of people I talk to who have started YouTube channels that tell me they've never watched any videos on how to improve their editing or improve viewer retention, click through rate or anything else that could improve their videos. I'm about to sit down and start going through my old videos and use the YouTube studio editor to cut my intro clips out, as well as any long drawn out endings.

Did you hit the nail on the head concerning asking for stuff BEFORE the video. One YouTuber always asks for you to like and subscribe BEFORE the video plays and it really irritates me. Why would I give a thumbs up when I haven't even seen the video yet.

My opening title card for either channel(Trams & Trains or General Videos) has only the heading "This is a Neil Forbes (insert heading here) Presentation" and the ending screen asks to Like, Comment, Share and Subscribe.
