It is so painful after a binge. I have to use a heating pad on my stomach in order to get any comfort especially to sleep.The guilt and failure is hard to deal with.

Thank you for this video. I think the physical discomfort especially at night really feeds into the shame that I feel after a binge. I found things like gaviscon helpful for the heartburn but sometimes I wouldn’t take it, almost like I was trying to punish myself for being bad. “You WILL experience the discomfort of a binge so that you will learn for next time.” Of course that doesn’t make sense and it’s much better to be kind to yourself. Every new video, I’m learning more as I move along this journey. Another symptom I suffer from after a big binge is the bowel movements the next day. This is especially hard if you are not going to be at home near the comfort of your own loo! Again feeding into the shame. Thank you again for your kind words and your willingness to share and discuss all aspects of this condition.

Your videos are so wonderful— insightful and helpful. Your content has really inspired re-approaching MY OWN recovery once again, this time with kindness and understanding, rather than reprimanding self-recrimination. Thank you :}

Thanks for this great video! A walk is the best thing to make me feel better but a warm bath really soothes and helps me feel a bit less heavy. Being elevated in bed and sipping a hot drink maybe water with lemon or apple cider vinegar.

My skin always hurts around my stomach, love handles, and chest if Ive had a lot of salt and sugar, I think it’s water retention.

Thank you for this video. The physical effects from binge eating is definitely - a real thing -but rarely do people talk about it and when we're actually in it.. how to cope ways of coping can be very helpful. There's been times where I've had physical effects where I literally got paranoid and thought I was going to die!! On another note though you say you're not a doctor but if you're a therapist, aren't you still technically a doctor? Like for example dentists say that their doctors their doctors for the teeth and there's doctors for feet and there's psychiatrists...ect. I get what you mean if not being a physical doctor or physician and maybe but if there's something really extreme or Beyond binging that is physical within us you're not the one who specializes in that ..
