What is RGBIC? RGBIC is the latest light displaying technology that features an advanced IC (Independent Control) chip that allows multiple colors to show on one strip light simultaneously. Meaning you can color chase like Razer products, and you can segment throughout the strips in different solid colors.

i just put govee rgbic strips up today and you can cut them perfectly fine, just cut along the dotted line between the copper

If the section you cut goes out, you can press the reset button and they should come back. Also you probably don't want to cut them while powered on. It seems the Gover lights are as good as any of the high end ones such as Type S which I used in my jeep grill after modifying them to go the way I wanted them to go.

I believe that these RGBIC cannot be joined using LED strip connectors without soldering. But can the normal RGB ones be connected that way?

If you’re really careful you can sauder them back together and still use the full connectivity. I don’t recommend doing this at the end of the day.

You can cut and extend just buy the 4 wire cable and the wire adapter looks like a Ethernet plug end sort of

My Govee light strip broke so I cut the broken part and everything is fine. Still working great.

Well it only program by led sync but if you reconnect and it will not turn on till you restart the power to get tyrn on

I cut one roll from the two I had connected to the switch bcs I didn’t need that much, now any light turns on, even if I put it back wire by wire . Could you help me ?

its honsetly alot better to buy feit electric lights. MY govee lights that cost 50$ already burned out in blue within a year. This means i cant do a lot of colors since blue is a primary color. Feit lights are much better quality since the have a protective cover, and you can actually cut them
