One day some people came to see prophet Muhammad (saw)
And they told him to show them a miracle so they join Islam and they challenged prophet Muhammad (saw) to split the moon in half and prophet Muhammad (saw) asked allah to split the moon in half .

no doubt about that the moon was divided in pieces, more than a thousand years ago and then its again piece-together. By the grace of almighty ALLAH we know about it and we know more about this Universe and science by reading Quran & hadith. Every one should read Quran.
