I hate to look at mold, i can't. If i see mold on something, im getting as much protection as i can regardless of what it is or how much and getting it away from me and out of my sight. Ehh....just thinking about it.

Just ate an entire molded grilled cheese. cheese molded, and bread molded. Couldn't see the mold on it since my kitchen lights weren't on. On my way back to my room, with the last bit I realized it was moldy...

For long, I was against eating anything that had mold growing on it -- I learned in a science class that if there's mold on food, cutting it off isn't sufficient, it's very likely that it originated below the surface, or at least there's more below the surface.  My father, who is from the "old world", would eat pretty much anything rather than throwing it away -- I suspect that that contributed to the reduced lifespans of people who lived centuries ago.  Inevitably, he caught food poisoning and had to see a doctor.

  This affected me personally, because long ago I had to get ready for class early in the morning, and my father was an early morning shitter.  After the food poisoning incident, the bathroom would smell like a large animal died in there and has rotted without disturbance for 5 months before I arrived.  So I'd wake up extra early to get in there before my dad did. and I subscribed to the "when it doubt, throw it out" way of thinking.

Date on product does not say it is bad after that date, it mean that it might not taste as good so don't put it in the trash, don't waste food and don't buy in bulk (leads to waste).
