Excellent explanation 👍🏾 This video has made me understand more why Toyota is number 1 in global sales. Toyota just needs to up their designs without compromising on quality, durability and reliability.

I do 90% of my maintenance so I'm loving the Audi BMW life 😁

One big reason is the volume of cars produced. Manufacturing cost for spare parts is less because the more parts made the cheaper they are.

Toyota uses direct injection also; however their engines also have poured injection; which is not only quieter and better at idle, but it eliminates that carbon buildup problem.

I think I'd be irritated if my $100, 000 car had the door glued on.

Buy certified pre owned from the MANUFACTURER as most times they come with extended warranty.

It’s a shame, the garbage that luxury auto makers dump on the North American market has made these cars disposable. I remember when BMW meant quality, now it’s not even Toyota.

More hp vehicles with turbos and superchargers will give your insurance rates a big boost also which is the wrong kind of boost you want.

Honestly, those big V8 powered sleds are part of the problem. They are heavy, too much tech, and because of the two cylinder banks, need twice the parts. The sweet spot is the single turbo straight six engines. They are much simpler but not many manufacturers make those engines. Luckily I have one, BMW M2 (N55) and that is a great car to have as your toy.

When I was on the market two years ago, I told myself to buy a Toyota. However, after test drive, I bought an Audi Q5. Driving experience is really different. I usually DIY maintenance and repair. Do all maintenance regularly and use best aftermarket parts if possible. It will cut your cost to a very affordable level. I used to own a VW for 15 years, the engine and transmission are very smooth and no leaks at all.

Hey I love watching your videos and love the fact you’re so passionate about what you do. I have received more car knowledge from your videos more than anywhere else so I thank you for educating me on this.
I was planning on purchasing a string family SUV, namely the BMW X7. Could you please tell me your thoughts on whether I should go ahead or not? I didn’t see you cover the X7 in any of your videos. I hope you see this. I hope you’re well during these challenging times!

Like you say: "Life is too short to drive boring cars". That I've come to absorb / believe /& live the older I've become. So I drive lux cars (Primarily German), & look forward to getting in them & going to work 5 days a week & to driving them on the weekends. What helps tremendously with the cost of ownership is if you have the ability to do things like routine maintenance yourself. Example: I just did all 4 corners brake pads on my E70 X5 & it cost me like $200. Call a BMW, Merc, or Audi dealership & ask them what the price for that would be.... make sure you're sitting down when you do though folks. The other thing I've learned is try to use the right tool for the job or STFU about maintenance costs. Example: A person chooses a BMW M car for their only/daily driver vehicle. The better choice (if money's an issue) is to have the non-M BMW one that has the appearance of an M i.e. an M appearance package. That BMW is still a great drive but things like tires & brakes are orders of magnitude cheaper to replace (& generally don't need to be replaced near as often) than their M car equivalents.
