You made my day Mark when you called the 640 gran coupe for the win.If things go as I expect, I will be purchasing a 2018 model in the near future. This car is so good looking and rare in my neck of the woods.I had thought that it had the n55 and not the b58.Soooo happy to be mistaken!

Thank u Mark for ur early advice...stick w NA & avoid turbo problems! My '07 X3 has been great for going ranches & hi waters, fun to drive also w its steptronic transmission & AWD. When weather permits, nothing can beat the fun as in my top down Z3, having great smile on my face every single time out w it. Their invincible BMW NA inline 6 you highly recommended have been butterly smooth & extremely reliable all these yrs! With regular maintenance of course. When craving for power & luxurious comfort, it's my German hot rod's turn...the NA "REAL" S 63 AMG(not those downsized engined AMGs w turbos lately...losing power in both low & hi rpm). I've been so happy & enjoyable w all these great reliable NA engines all these yrs, thank you again!!

my 2016 e250 is a beast. 10 year extended warranty on the diesel emissions system and I've only had to replace the noX sensor and diesel temperature gauge. Always service it 1000km early. I let the turbo idle after coming off the highway.

My old 2002 Bimmer 328 was the most reliable German car my family ever owned out of 6, and it was cheap to fix if you have the right mechanic. Rest were reasonable reasonable, no big issues, just tiny little issues. Audi was the only money pit for me, but YMMV.

I genuinely appreciate your style and overall content 🎉 I have the bankroll for new luxury cars but too much electronics for me. I enjoy luxury of all sizes especially the German brands ! You’re a straight shooter who gives inspiration for me to choose a few older models…Thanks so much & I’m a car fanatic who was raised well by my Father !!! Lastly…I’m done with manual & looking for auto transmission only 😎

Idk about you guys but my 650i with the n63TU has been extremely reliable and all I’ve had to do is oil changes and 2 new front tires 94k miles under the belt better than my Japanese car that left me stranded twice 😂

I have owned a BMW 2013 M3 for 10 years and a BMW 2019 M550 for 4.5 years - zero problems. The key is to drive moderately, do the maintenance, yes go to a good dealer who knows the vehicle. I have 2 high performance cars but I take care of them and they last. I have owned 6 BMWs, 2 Jaguars and 6 Lexuses and the answer is always do the maintenance.

Hey, always appreciate your videos about which cars to buy. In the USA the 640s never got the B58 even in 2019, I never read they received it and kept the N55 throughout the model life. I looked at 640is in Canada and saw the N55 under the hood as well. I agree fully about the B58 but never saw a 640i with one.

My dad just bought a C43 AMG Convertible in same platform. He loves it, wanted AMG wheels but convinced him to get the C43

Thank you, Sir. Few questions:
- is B48 a chopped version of B58? Other than minus 2 cylinders, any other major differences?
- does 4 cylinder Supra use B48?
- what do you recommend for non-AMG version, you mentioned 4 cylinder, and V6, just wanted to know proper MB engine designation

Love the review. I was starting to lose hope in ze Germans. Happy to see that they haven't completely lost their edge. Can you do something similar with the British cars (mostly is just JLR, but some models may be better than others through the years). Good to know what to expect for each. Thank you sir, good tutorials.
