Unless you start taking steroids, you won't bulk up lifting heavy weights. I work out at a gym with bikini and fitness competitors and learned about that myth. Women get more shapely, lifted and strong. We don't have enough natural testosterone to bulk up without the use of synthetic drugs.

Hello, oh to be young again! I am almost 64 years old, well into or done with menopause, overweight, have diabetes, osteoarthritis and am just not as mobile or energetic as I used to be ! Congratulations to you for your tremendous weight loss. I was able to do it with ease when I was your age too, but never dealt with a big amount of weight to lose until after I was probably in my 50’s and had a hysterectomy, which put me directly into menopause. I have been watching your videos and like what you say and I will be trying to change my habits to reduce my carbs, which I actually have been for awhile, since diagnosed with diabetes. I don’t consume sugar any longer (or rarely), I walk every day, which is about the extent I can do regarding exercise because of my osteoarthritis. I just don’t see much progress on weight loss. Anyway, I will keep trying, why not, and hopefully I will someday be able to see some progress. Thanks for all of your suggestions, recipes and ideas to help people who need it. Any thoughts you may have for me in my journey, at this point in my life, would be welcome!

I’ve started my keto/ low carb journey this week and have been tracking and good all week but had a apple cider donut while out at the fall festival with my kids! I feel bad about it it was about 36g of carbs alone.. but it’s okay.. back to it!

I had 2 miscarriages over the summer and regular exercise saved my sanity and rebuilt my emotional strength. I think if not for that, I may have truly fallen into a horrible pit of despair.
