I dont drink alcohol at all because i was hooked to it, could not stop drinking for years until Jesus came and freed me from a literal spirit of alcoholism, in 2015, i felt how a force left my body while i was walking to buy more alcohol and immediately, after years of drinking, i felt freedom from that overwhelming desire to drink, so i stopped drinking any alcohol altogether.

I love wine. But I love wine too much. Last year I started to binge on it, and I had a hard time stopping. It grabbed ahold of me hard and was not letting go. And I knew it was sin. Best I abstain from all of it. I am alcohol free 7 months now. I use to wake up thinking about it and now I don't crave it at all. Praise jesus!

As somebody who has battled this rehab etc It's mental. If you overdue it it's abuse. You can drink but don't get belligerent. Good message.

The self control aspect is what I had most trouble with. AA members told me that I have a disease which there is no cure, in turn, I used that as an excuse to drink. However, I always end up in a place where I don't want to be because of my choice to drink.

You’re right Again my brother but, myself always put in mind “ Romans 14: 21” when Paul says that you shouldn’t eat or drink things that will cause a weaker brother to stumble. So I’ll be A little cautious when I drink in front of Christian friends. And I’m try not to be Self-righteous.

Deuteronomy 14:26 states : And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after. ... or for wine, or for strong drink, ... So apparently God is not against drinking alcoholic beverages but we should not consume it to the point where we become drunk or addicted.

Thanks my brother Corey. I am really not a drinker at all but drinking is not a sin but to keep yourself from excess and dependence.

There're many people who struggle with this issue especially in legalistic and moralistic churches like Gino Jennings church 😂

Since you mentioned about alcohol given during the cold/winter season to fight off having the cold virus, is that why the cold medicine, "Nyquil", having 10 or 12% alcohol in it, to help fight off the cold or flu virus?

As I grow in the holy spirit. I notice its alot of things thats disturb the holy spirt in this world. I can truly say god word is true . When God said whoever is a friend of the world is an enemy with God.

The liquor that one drinks today is NOT the same wine of days of ancient. People are not aware of the wine and spirits they are indulging in thus having no self control. The spirits take over their minds, thoughts and actions. Don't blame it on the alcohol, blame your poor decisions. Blessings

I’ve been shackled to alcohol for years but a few days ago pastor Rich Tidwell on tik tok told me that I can be delivered from it if I just get into the Word so I’m reading Isaiah and will read it to revelation and to the beginning because I need to be set free.

I have a question. What does the Word say about men and women and hair and makeup? Is long hair ok for men? Is short hair ok for women? At least one enquiring mind would like to know.

The alcohol that they drank back then was for water purification, they would mix it with water very diluted form compared to what we drink today. They have 1 to 20 ratio. Which would be consumed with food at feasts like weddings or other occasions. And alcohol we make today is more strong then anything they had access too. The beer even back then was maximum of 2 or 3%.

Is a Christian allowed to feel the effects of a drink (wine)? I remember the bible saying something about having a glad heart as a result of wine and strength as a result of bread.. I understand that drunkenness which leads to shameful behavior is a sin, but is it okay to have your spirit lifted so to speak? Feel a sense of joy perhaps? What do you qualify as drunkenness? Thanks.
