Alcohol isn't the problem, being a drunkard is.

I don’t care what anyone says, no Christian who walks with God will be drinking alcohol. People who drink it are flirting with sin. “Just a little it won’t hurt” they say but if you are really following Jesus you would be concerned about the things of God not a drink.

You can drink but not be led by it. You can drink and not be a drunkard. So the answer is, you can drink wine but do not let it lead you or do not drink until you are drunk. Jesus drank wine. He turned water into wine, so if wine was a sin then Jesus never would have turned water into wine.

Jesus turned water into wine. If Jesus is perfect(which he is) and if drinking was a sin he wouldn’t partake in it. You can drink but when it becomes an habitual problem then it’s a sin.

Meanwhile Jesus, who did drink wine:

Brothers and sisters, we can drink but we can't get drunk. Drinking one can of beer, a shot of vodka or a glass of wine is not a sin. Drinking so much you get drunk is a sin.

Psalm 104:14-15 God made wine to make man's heart merry.

Jesus said that it is not what goes into a man that defiles him, but what comes out of a man. Alcohol is not, in itself, sinful - except for those who are alcoholics. Overuse of alcohol is sinful. Getting drunk is sinful. Being dependent on alcohol and drinking it is sinful.

I Tim 4:4 tells us "For everything created by God is goodm, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.

In John 2, Jesus turns water into wine. In fact, it is said by the master of the feast about said wine “Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now.” At that point in time, they did not possess the wine making capabilities that we do today. Because of that fact, the quality of the wine would refer to the alcohol content of it. Additionally, we can discern from the tradition of the early church to serve wine at communion that even Jesus drank wine at the last supper. In other words, not only was Jesus fine with alcohol, he partook of himself. “But that doesn’t explain all the verses that tell you not to drink!” I hear you say. My response is simple: God does not hate drinking. Instead, he hates drunkenness. In first Corinthians 11, the apostle Paul condemns how the Corinthians are treating the Lord’s supper. He says, “When you come together, it is not the Lord’s supper that you eat. For in eating, each one goes ahead with his own meal. One goes hungry, another gets drunk. What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I commend you in this? No, I will not.” Again, Paul does not say “Stop serving wine for communion! Drinking is a sin!” Instead, he essentially tells them to leave some wine for the people in the back of the line. I do not blame you for holding the opinion that you do. Sobriety is an admirable quality; if you wish to maintain it, I will not force whiskey down your throat. However, It is not biblical to condemn those who drink in moderation.

Bro Jesus was drinking wine and are you forgetting about the wedding in Caine (i don't know how to write it in English) and using your logic participating in the eucharist/communion is sinning which is absurd
Drinking is not a sin, being drunk is, heck anything in excess is a sin, God bless 🙏

I feel that God clearly shows that drinking can be something Christians can partake in, but Christians should not drink past the point of feeling sober. We must remain sober-minded. You can have a drink and feel no effects, but beyond that point is where it gets dangerous in the spirit.

This clause is the same for gluttony which I’m not sure why this one is also left out. Do not over Indulge. It is a sin which stems from the lust of the flesh. One of them just happens to have a more ostracized view and that’s to be drunk but gluttony is no different and many don’t see how that has run rampant in the church and is also a lust of the flesh for ppl to not turn to alcohol but to to turn to food.

The Bible says moderation of alcohol is ok but drinking too much alcohol leading to drunkness is not ok.
