Worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life but the meds definitely help tremendously! Stay on top of your meds! I was prescribed Percocets, it worked wonders! Stock a lot of popsicles, soups, ice, yogurt, apple sauce, apple juice, bananas, oatmeal. Those are things that I bought before surgery. Hope for a speedy recovery for everyone getting the surgery done.

My 8 year old had her tonsils out. We are on day 4 of recovery. So far so good. Better than I thought. She is doing great!
Tylenol, soft foods and popcycles

Stay on top of your meds! Drink everything icy the first few days, and get an ice pack for your neck. By day two I was already shedding the scabs! Still a little rough to swallow but I’m doing much better.

Had my Tonsilectomy and septoplasty at one go. On my 5th day after surgery. Luckily no bleeding as of Now. Yes lil bit of pain in my throat and fully blocked nasals. Feel myself lucky to undergo a surgery by Dr. Gautam Khaund and team.

it seems crazy to me that one doctor says only eat soft foods (you) and ive seen hundreads of others saying eating rough and normal food is a much better approach

Hey doc!
Thanks for this video.
I had my tonsils removed 3 days ago and I still snore…
Am I expected to see immediate improvement or after the healing process has been completed?

I’m 2 days in, just realized I can’t taste or smell anything, my nose seems clear and my throat doesn’t hurt a crazy amount.

My tonsils are so large that they're kissing, but it's never caused me any trouble or discomfort until recently. They've been letting me consider a tonsillectomy and even though I'm scared, I'm also getting REALLY tired of my throat hurting so much that I can't even breathe without pain, and losing sleep over the amount of discomfort.

How long after the surgery I can drink alcohol? This is a serious question. Cause after my set date of the surgery in 2 weeks I’ll travel for a long trip full of alcohol and parties. Will I get healed fully in 2 weeks? Or is it just better do it after the trip?
