So when you took out the 2 go after that this laptop was able to support 4gb ram or not?

My laptop model is satellite c660-11r
Currently the ram is 2gb in it. But it’s so slow.
Can i add an extra 4gb ram?
N.B: The battery of my laptop is damaged, so using it through direct current.
