i did this today i upgraded my laptop ram from 8gb of ram to 32gb of ram (i removed the battery in my laptop like 1 year prior so it was all good with me going in and changing stuff), and i also upgrade the storage to 1 terabyte 980 pro nvme ssd because the old one was 120gb ssd, but the gtx 1650 and ryzen 5 were good so i kept it (i cant even do that either because i think i cant remove it) and i installed windows 11 on the ssd and now i can allocate like 12gb of ram on minecraft, btw my parents knew i was doing this they didnt know i would just do it myself but they were proud of me (im only 12 years old btw, ive had a pc since like 1 years old and i got the pc i upgraded when i was 9) so yeah

heres the process:
i first upgraded the ram to 32gb of ram, and that was super easy

the ssd package came like 2 hours later, and i was saving my minecraft saves snd stuff onto a hard drive, and then i took out the ssd put in the new one, and it worked, then i needed to put the old one back in so i can make a windows 11 thing on a flash drive, i did that, i then put in the new ssd, then put in the flash drive, and then i installed windows 11 home, and i messed around a bit, but i wanted to install the drivers for the cpu and gpu so i did that, it was a very simple process, the ram took like 10 mins to do and the ssd and installing windows was like 2 hours combined so very easy snd quick process

im 12 years old like i mentioned earlier and i feel like most kids my age aren’t replacing pc parts, but my parents thought they would help me but i did it myself because i know what im doing, and roblox runs the same i guess, the only games i play are mc and roblox

Also note for everyone watching: Using only 1 ram is alright, its not dangerous using it however it just wont run as fast as using 2 or more ram stick because technology is a thing but it's fine but if you do want to get 2 or more ram listen to what he said because he said it will run on the lowest ram so make sure get 2 of the same type of ram
