To be fair, I live in the USA and I can walk around in my hometown at midnight if I wanted and nothing bad would happen either. It just depends on where in the USA. Yes, our big cities are not safe but that's because a) they are populated by people "on the margins" who are often not very stable and b) they are run politically by Democrats who refuse to enforce laws and rules and standards of behavior. Adults with stable families do not live in big cities. Just the way it is.
