I've seen this film, and it's nothing less than brilliant. If you love David Lynch films then you have to see this, because the director captures some of his early style and tone in this film. It's hauntingly beautiful.

This is was a very very VERY good movie. One of the best vampire movies in really long time. Not sure what's with the dislikes, but everyone should go watch it.

As someone who loves Iranian cinema, it's definitely a treat to watch this western-style film with Iranian flavors attached to it. It's like Jim Jarmusch and Abbas Kiaorastami had a baby and it came out Lily Amirpour lol. I'm so waiting what she does next!! Keep it up girl :)

I saw this last night in Portland. It was really stylish. I know some people hate movies with sub-titles but there is so little dialogue that I would hope that wouldn't keep anyone away. It's just a visual and physical movie. Extremely well done and entertaining from start to finish.

I love iranian movies, they are allways great does not matter what genre. the actors are trustful, the camera is great, the stories are clever. And a Vampire Western? a must see. And moreover, Persians have so beautiful eyes, they are driving me crazy. Black eyes, black hair, black cloth, white skin.... what a fantastic combination for black and white movie!

I saw this film at VIFF several weeks ago. It's a brilliant film.  It defies genre stereotypes and becomes far more interesting than any vampire flick I've seen because of this. A spaghetti western-noir-vampire-arthouse flick. It's like Werner Herzog meets Sergio Leone meets David Lynch meets Vivienne Dick meets Jim Jarmusch...

So atmospheric with its exquisite black and white cinematography by Lyle Vincent, and the magic soundtrack from all around the world of music. The feminist notions are subtle and never in your face, and the film can be enjoyed if one wants, without reading too deeply into the psyche in that regard. Feminist vampire hipster meets rebel without a cause (a la James Dean). Slow paced, hushed, its strangeness is seductive, not off-putting and it is certainly worth checking out, rather than dismissing based on misguided notions that Iranian + Vampire + Black & White makes a film less worthwhile than others based on some predetermined criteria. There's a reason it's a film festival favourite.

Iranian women are really good looking, never really realized it until recenty. Then again I was never really exposed to them or their culture. Man, what have I missed!!!

This film is, quite simply, cool. It exudes confidence in its story and atmosphere. Really dug it.

I think the neatest part about this is that it's shot like a cowboy western, it gave the whole film a weird but unique tone.
