Rishi Sunak: National service idea is a 'bold plan' for the UK

Rishi Sunak tells Sky News that his idea to re-introduce national service is an example of the "bold action" he is ready to take to deliver a "secure future" for the United Kingdom.

Mr Sunak didn't deny that his team referring to "sleepy Sir Keir Starmer" was linked to the Labour leader's age, but said the opposition team "no ideas and no plan."

Back in January of this year, Sunak's spokesman said: "The British military has a proud tradition of being a voluntary force and there is absolutely no suggestion of a return to conscription."
His own defence minister, Andrew Murrison, stated that national service would have a negative effect on morale. Sunak has never actually mentioned anything of NS until now.
So at some point over the past 4 months he's changed his mind on all of that and now wants to spend £billions of taxpayers money on this bad idea. I'm calling Total Bullsh*t.

How about paying people to do the work rather than forcing 18 year olds to work for nothing. Absolutely laughable decision, did no one in the room stick their hand in the air and tell him the idea was bollocks when they were all sitting around the cabinet table.
