Not sure the older generation do think it's a good idea, you would have over 79 to have done national service and not everyone thought it was a good idea back in the day. I'm 66, an army veteran and I think it's another ill conceived act of desperation from a government with a track record of such things.

Over my dead body would i let this happen national service is modernised slave labour, how would this affect northern ireland as an irishman this scares the hell out of me i don’t want my family being forced to serve an elitist regime especially a nation i don’t support politically anyway. p.s you cannot be forced to volunteer, because it’s no longer volunteering but conscription
