You can take up to 3 grams of l carnitine 40 minutes before workout,

L-carnitine wont get your heart rate up. It is not a stimulant. Maybe you should try another label. I am using 1500mg of l-carnitine pre-workout and I only noticed more energy and endurance due to the fat burning properties of l-carnitine :) nice vid though!
