Needlessly TRAGIC 😥 Disney Animations 📺 | Bill Burr, Whitney Cummings #shorts

Many of the Disney animated movies are extremely sad and depressing, especially the older ones. In the case of "Bambi" Walt Disney wanted to honor his dead mother so he made this gut wrenching story that paralleled his life. Whitney points out that most of these cartoons are almost unwatchable because she can't handle that. Bill insists that they do this to keep you watching the movies till the end.

Well it shows kids an important lesson, that life isn't always happy, that bad things happen and they have to be moved on from.

Stuff like that is good for kids. They can experience grief without having to suffer any real loss. It helps them grow up.

It exposes children to situations that their friends or family have possibly experienced, that they might not have gone through yet in life, but will eventually. It's explains life and serves as soft exposure to the harshness of reality.

I did watch that shit, and it teaches you to understand the realities of life, it has a beginning and an end. To teach you tragic shit can happen in your walk of life. But in the end you overcome your obstacles and become a stronger better person through it all. 👍🏼💯😎

It's a good way to see if your child has empathy

Another movie I remember that was really heart wrenching was The Fox and the Hound. I remember back when I was a kid, crying myself to sleep the night after watching that film.

I never really had a big thing for Disney as a kid but when my dad died in my teens, I really connected with the Lion King. At least kids that go through that at a younger age can see a cartoon that they like that explores those struggles.

My dad died when I was 5 and it was pretty significant for me to see that I wasn’t alone since the next person my age I met with a deceased but previously involved parent, was high school.

I was three years old when I saw it with my family. Cried so loud and hard when Bambi’s mom died. We all had to leave the movie theater! 😭😭😭😭💔

I think those old cartoons did make me appreciate my Parents. Land before time with my Mom and The Lion King with my Dad.

I RAN out of the theater when the mom in land before time died! And honestly after watching my own my died 30 years later, it changes your life completely. I’ll never be the same person, and either will you. 😢

Kids that are not safely exposed to grief as kids will not be able to handle it as adults.

It showed kids the reality of life .

That life is hard but if you stick out out you have a higher chance of a better life toward the end

I think that experiencing some cartoon grief might help you overcome real ass grief

It's also educating kids on the inevitable loss of your parents.

It's good for kids to see things like that. Its normal life and kids shouldn't be sheltered from normal life just bc they might get upset

Pain is really the only driving force in personal growth

Or maybe it shows a world in which pain is inevitable and there can be beauty afterwards, like how my mother died of breast cancer when I was 2 years old and when I saw that as a child I knew then I was not the only one and that knowledge gave me comfort
