Disney villains are well known for their devilish personalities and dark motives. And fittingly enough, these evil characters typically meet their end in rather gruesome ways. But which of these deaths are the most gruesome? Which ones got taken out quickly and which ones met the most screwed up and agonizing ends?

What I think is the most horrible about Faciliers death is that his 'friends' sing HIS OWN SONG when dragging him to his death. It's so satirical. Asking him if he's ready to die, terrifying.

Clayton had the most disturbing one, IMO. While other Disney villains mostly just vanish from existence after they die, you see the shadow Clayton’s hanging corpse during a lightning flash. It’s easily the most memorable thing about an otherwise pretty mediocre villain.

Fun fact: originally, Gaston survives the fall, but once he gets out of the river, he encountered the wolf pack that attacked belle and gets eaten. :)

I think Dr. Facilier's death is the most disturbing. When you think about it he didn't actually die. He was dragged to hell where he will feel forever pain. His begging and pleading made it even more disturbing, because he knew where he was headed.

When I was young, while I knew Clayton had died from the fall, but it wasn't until I was much older that I noticed the shadow of Clayton's hanging corpse, and I had watched Tarzan so many times when I was young, definitely the most gruesome death in my opinion.

Probably one of the most iconic and probably 'the' most disturbing deaths from the 'classic Disney movie era' is Facilier's death (tied with Frollo's death). It's not so much gruesome, but it's the disturbing thought of being dragged to the underworld whilst begging for your life. Not only that, he heard his own music playing before his demise, meaning that he knew what was gonna happen to him. What makes this more unsettling is the fact that the whole movie is set in a real-life place (New Orleans) and the place of his death, a New Orleans cemetery, also reflects the cemeteries of New Orleans in real life, known for their Voodoo practices and witchcraft, etc.

I always thought Turbo's death was unsettling. The fact that he knew what's coming, yet couldn't control his insect self's instincts made it really stand out. You can see and hear the shock and terror on him as he's forced to fly right in his doom.

The worst thing about Scar's death is this. In the fourth act, Shenzi explicitly states that there is no food left in the valley, and they were starving and angry. Scar blamed the lions for holding out on them. When he betrayed the hyenas, and when they came to pay him back, they were still starving. And Scar was old, weak, defeated. Those hyenas didn't just kill him. They ate him. And if you ever see how hyenas eat, you'll realize that they started eating him while he was still alive.

I feel like Scar should’ve been a little higher up. Hyenas are ruthless predators, able to bite through bone. But they also eat most of their prey alive. Hyenas are used to making a kill just to have a bigger predator show up and take it. This is why hyenas will start eating their prey from ANY angle they can get. It’s the mentality of needing to eat, and it wouldn’t do them good to kill every animal on the spot: they would be wasting energy and running the risk of getting their prey stolen from them. So, we could say that Scar was eaten alive (if you believe the fire didn’t automatically consume him)

Fun fact about Scar's death: He claimed that Simba was 'A king fit for a meal' which is why the hyenas tried to eat Simba. But then, when Scar betrayed them, they took to it like 'A king fit for a meal', since he was the king at the time, so they ate him.

Also, they ate him since they were starved, and that was all Scar's fault. If that isn't karma, then I sure as heck don't know what is.

When you really think about it, the hyenas were the only Disney villains who got exactly what they wanted at the end: a decent meal.

I still think dr facilier had the most gruesome death, messing with voodoo magic is one thing, but actually being dragged into hell and tormented for all eternity by the ones you once commanded, must be awful

actually, gaston’s death probably was as painful as falling off a clock tower. Falling into water from that high up wouldn’t give the water any tine to spread, thus making it just like falling on solid ground. Physics, amirite?

I'm glad Dr. Facilier is up so high on the list- not just because he's going to be tormented in hell for who knows how long, but just the absolute terror in his face was portrayed in a way that was so gripping that it made me feel a hint of sympathy for him.

I'd also like to think Ratigan survived the fall just long enough to be eaten by his own cat, since Basil rings the bell there, that would be more satisfying considering it's what he did to everyone he didn't like.
