Since we've covered English slang, seems only right to discover some weird Canadian slang, too! As a Canadian living in England, a lot of people expect me to lose my Canadian accent, but I think it takes a very long time for that to happen!

Hey! I'm Alanna - a twenty-something documenting my life as a Canadian living in England.

I share the ups and downs of an expat living abroad and what it's really like living in the UK. It's not always easy, but there's been so many wonderful experiences, too. I post a Youtube video every Tuesday and an additional video every Saturday on my Patreon account. I also livestream every Wednesday and Sunday at 6:30pm GMT on Twitch.

The sad part is, we don’t even notice when we say “eh” lol

Canadians say “sorry” so much that a law was passed in 2009 declaring that an apology can’t be used as evidence of admission to guilt.

I feel like "aye" is quite like "eh" here in Scotland.

When Canadians swear: Im not your friend,  buddy
-I'm not your buddy,  pal
-I'm not your pal, guy
-I'm not your guy, friend
-I'm not your friend, pal
-I'm not your pal, buddy

I'm Australian and love how Canadians speak and say "Eh", so glad I learn't about other things you say in Canada. And the "Bunny hug" one is so cute. I love that there are $1 and $2 coins in Canada too, we also have them in Australia. Great video!!
