I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for your awesome messages! The main reason I wanted to do this talk was to help you and others like you all around the world to feel the confidence you deserve to feel. I know that you've spend years and years studying English at school, and all you really wanted to do was speak, communicate, listen and understand and have others understand you. TED gave me this opportunity to tell you just trust yourself, whatever your level is, because with the right attitude you have what it takes right now. Please feel free to reach out to me if you need more support. Thank you again for watching.

1. "Don't focus on yourself, focus on result that's you want to achieve."
2."English not art to be masterd, English just a tool to use to get result."
These are best advice for me to changing my English learning life.
Thanks.

Language is for using, not for being perfect. Mistakes make perfect. Keep trying.

"This language belongs to you. It's not an art to master, it's just a tool for you to get the result." Amazinggg!! This idea actually changes my mindset in my journey to learn languages.

Most people aren't even perfect in their native language but for some reason, we think we should be perfect in another one.

She is really right. Many people focus on their pronunciation and grammar. They don't focus on the listeners.
Languages are to communicate not need to be flawless.

I really love the message of this talk. That being said, I think it's also worth mentioning that there's a segment of the population for whom doing anything they're bad at is very very hard. To use the video game analogy: if they had been playing this game for a while and they keep being bad at it, they will stop because they don't have the capacity or the tools to deal with failure. If your self-worth is *wrongly* tied with what you produce, you will feel terrible being bad at a video game or speaking a language. Unless this is addressed or, at least, acknowledged, no amount of uplifting ted talks will make someone change their attitude towards long-term progress vs. chasing the instant gratification of doing something right this one time.

This gave me lots of confidence. Language is not about perfection, it's about communication and there's no such a thing as right language or wrong, it's all about acceptable or unacceptable.

I can totally relate to what you say! You just blew my mind! ‘English is not an art to be mastered, it’s just a tool to get a result’, this is so powerful. I need the confidence like Faizal has, and I’ll try to do my best working on it. Thank you for sharing!

"Language is not an art to be master, it's a tool to use to get result, that tool belongs to you."..we studied in linguistic that language is a means or tool of communication we express our emotions, feelings, and thoughts through it.
