Summary steps:
1.- Learn phrases.
2.- Learn Intonation (generally it is always the same).
3.- Start using the patterns that native English speakers use.
4.- Learn their pronunciation (use native vowel).
5.- You have to focus on a specific kind of English from a specific region.

American English, Rule #1: Ask "What's up?", "What's happening" and "How's it going?" without ever intending to get an answer. Just act like you're talking to a wall instead of a person.

I'm an American who watches a lot of youtube videos in French because I'm trying to learn French. Youtube kept suggesting this video, which seemed bizarre to me. I finally watched it, and your tips are very helpful no matter what language you're learning. Thanks! One tip for your listeners. If you want to choose a regional US dialect, don't choose Boston/New England. You'll never be able to sound like that.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but when I get nervous, my English gets worse. I start to stutter and words don’t come out right. Especially when someone knows I’m not a native, and I feel like they’re waiting for me to screw up. I also don’t understand how some people tell me that I have a slight accent and others say I have a thick accent. I’m a nurse and meet many new people each day, and some tell me one thing and others tell another. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just want to blend in, and not stick out like a sore thumb. In my opinion, my English is pretty damn good since I’ve been studying it since about first grade. Thanks for this video!

Im from mexico, i started working in a call center, and my english has improved so much, because i speak the language with native speakers every single day and im getting familiar with the language. There have been awkward moments where i dont understand them or they dont understand me, its embarrasing and it sucks, but that leads me to put more effort and learning from my mistakes. Thanks for the video, it was helpful, kisses.

My experience with learning English turned out to be quite different from what I had imagined. For many years i surrounded myself with English and did everything i could in English to the point where I started to think in it and I could speak it to an (almost) native level. I always thought it would be "cool" if i ever traveled to the US, that I'd surprise people with my amazing English. However, when i actually moved to the US i found out that it was kind of pointless, because as long as you could communicate, it didn't really matter to the natives if you had an accent or if you sounded native-like. In fact i noticed that native speakers preferred foreign accents because they thought they were "cute" or "interesting" or "different".

Hi! I'm Rodrigo from Brazil! I'm a new subscriber of your channel and I wanna say you're amazing! I just loved your way of speaking and your tips too! What I most like about your videos it's because you don't speak slowly to make easier for us to get it. I like listening to natural English! Please make videos talking about the most used sentences for native speakers!
Take care

Hi, my favorite English teacher! I think I need to tell you this:
When I started working as a security agent for an american airline in my country, I used to help the passengers to print the boarding passes and the bag tags. I was studying English and working at the same time... The passengers that came to me and asked me for help, they used to say: hey, your English is good! Why you said "I speak only a little"? And I discovered that everything is about to practice the pronunciation and encourage ourselves to speak with native speakers. I think Im not perfect when speaking or even writing, but I learned a lot with the passengers...
