This is an excellent video. For 33 years I was a radio operator/vessel traffic services officer in the Canadian Coast Guard. I even taught twice at the Canadian Coast Guard College. I was amazed how many of the new recruits had no speaking skills; mumbling, speaking too fast, too softly, etc. Many years ago I realized the usefulness of my voice, and that was what instilled in me was the necessity of teaching my students to speak confidently, clearly, and at a correct speed for comprehension on the radio. Even though my instruction had less to do with tonality than clarity, I thank you for this video.

Gold, as always Barron. Love this few minute insights into the conversations that you give us. I was never aware just how important the tonality is when speaking. I have been using your techniques in last year or so at work and have to say how powerfull it is. Especially at my work, where I work in the office with 3 other people. I can hear their ''errors'' when talking on the phone or introducing themselves to people coming into the office. I can see how much more respect I'm getting compared to them, just focusing a bit on the tonality and on the impression I give. Looking forward to your next video about handshake.

You make good videos sir. I have been working on myself w dedication fir seven months. After my ex broke up after 8 yrs. I learned a lot. If you haven't read The Rational Male do. Tamossi says true self examination doesn't happen until a crisis occurs! Lol that's what happened to me. Anyways what you say is what I've been doing for awhile and your spot on. I'm done with beta behavior which is not what women want but won't tell you. I tell young men now that shake my hand like a gurl to shake it, your a man. Young men nowadays are in grave need of direction to become real men. Like our ancestors who set off into the unknown on a ship or had to stand up and fight fir their own. I believe the emasculating of man is the main impetus behind these horrible shootings. Men have lost direction and there energy is suffering which leads to frustration which becomes a psychosis manifesting in horrible ways. Even if they implement more gun laws, this emasculation of man gender is still occurring. They will just use whatever other weapon is at their disposal. Masculine energy deprived of freedom and direction will go crazy.

One of my biggest struggles with talking with confidence is, how do I sappose to talk to someone if I'm 24 and they are like 40? Like should I talk more timid and respectful to someone older? Or can I talk to them with confidence as if I'm in there level of adulthood? I have struggled with this for so long. Your videos are so helpful!! I have struggled with speaking high pitched due to viewing others and higher than me became how they appear to be important. Lol
