I would point you to the SDA Church tract entitled 'An Understanding of the Biblical View on Homosexual Practise and Pastoral Care' as it clearly explains the church's position on sexual diversity, namely, the church accepts all SD people no less than it accepts people who struggle with adulterous thoughts, but the heterosexual monogamous relationship is the only sexual relationship God approves. Why is a person who struggles with homosexual thoughts any different than a person who struggles with adulterous thoughts? If both accept that such thoughts are sin and by faith refuse to submit to them, are not both Christians?
