100% Proof Christians Don't Have To Keep The Sabbath | Seventh Day Adventists Exposed

Should Christians keep the Sabbath Day? This is a question that Seventh Day Adventists and other Sabbath keeping groups frequently ask Christians and they insist that Christians must observe the Sabbath Day. But is this true? The answer to that question is "no". Christians are not required to keep the Sabbath Day Commandment. The Sabbath Day Commandment was a shadow of things to come, the substance of which is Christ.

Just remember brothers and sisters
The Ten Commandments were written in stone... Not sand.
It was important enough that God wrote it himself.

I am not SDA, nor am I a Judaizer. However, it seems that you have done some painstaking research to teach others to break the 4th commandment of God’s moral law (which has not been done away with).

As Christians, we do not find it acceptable to kill (#6) or commit adultery (#7). We also criticize Roman Catholics for creating idols and bowing down to them, a clear violation of the second commandment. With a plank in our eye, we criticize them and break the 4th commandment ourselves.

It is interesting to me that the Lord worded the 4th commandment as REMEMBER the Sabbath Day! How many Christians have forgotten THE Sabbath Day. How many have re-designated the Sabbath day to Sunday, after the pattern of the Roman Catholic church?

You have not proven anything to me Caleb, except that for some reason the 4th commandment seems to be burdensome to you.

I still attend fellowship on Sundays. This was a biblical pattern to do so. We have freedom to worship and assemble together as often as we like. The Sabbath day is not to be forgotten, but to be kept holy for the Lord.

“Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Don’t be the least in the kingdom brother. Do not teach Christians it is okay to break the 4th commandment.

It never ceases to amaze me
When God gave the Ten Commandments
People REMEMBER nine of them
But FORGET to ONE God said to REMEMBER

God's Sabbath, once forgotten, is now FOUR-GOTTEN.

He who says, “I know Him, ” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. (1 John 2:4-5) (NKJV)

I was raised in a Protestant Evangelical family. But for over 10 years i have studied the Bible on the Sabbath topic. Now studying more than 15+ years i am more convinced that Sunday is a Pagan origin (man made) and the Sabbath is the true day for worship.
The Colossians verse was also my struggle. There were many questions i asked myself and i have my own counter arguments.
Christians keep the Passover (Last Supper), Pentecost these are the festivals. Is Paul against these festivals? And again, if Paul is telling the Colossians to not observe these festivals. How is it that Christians celebrate Easter, Good Friday, Christmas- all man made festivals no where commanded nor was there ever a celebration mentioned in the NT became part of Christianity?
Is Sunday Worship commanded in the Bible? I find no scriptures to support it.
So, isn't it more fitting to worship on the day that was commanded rather than bring in a man made tradition into Christianity?

I think that verse explains why people shouldn’t judge me for keeping the sabbath

There is actually a huge difference between the weekly sabbath and the annual jewish feasts sabbaths that this man just ignored. The verse he quoted was collosians 2:16-17, what is funny is that the verse itself says that the feasts/festivals are a “shadow of what is to come”.. which indicates to us that those festivals/feasts which where established, came after the fall of man which where given as a shadow of Jesus who is the one to come to redeem us, yet he just openly ignored that the weekly sabbath, while it was mentioned in leviticus 23, he just ignores that the weekly sabbath was actually established before the fall of man during creation…. The weekly sabbath was actually established in genesis 2:3 when God RESTED, BLESSED and SANCTIFIED the seventh day. I want to ask this man what it means to bless and sanctify something. The clear difference is that the festive sabbaths where established after the fall of man, while the weekly sabbath was established before the fall of man, also the festive sabbaths in leviticus 23 where never blessed or sanctified like the weekly sabbath was at creation. And while the festive sabbaths where specifically given to the jews, the ten commandments are the supreme law for all people who know and believe in God, and He also ignored that the sabbath is a commandment, God never changed his commandments, Jesus kept the sabbath as his custom as it says in Luke 4:16, and in john 15:10 Jesus instructs us to keep his fathers commandments as he has kept his fathers commandments, I would then ask this man, what where the commandments of our father that Jesus kept? Jesus even states in matthew 5:19 that “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Jesus never undid the 4th commandment, that would mean God changed his mind on the ten commandments which makes absolutely no sense, God instructs us to simply take 1 day of the week off working to REST and to worship him, while it is completely ok to worship God everyday the sabbath is a day you need to rest instead of working, it is funny how the 4th commandment is the only commandment that begins with the word “remember”, and it seems like ithinkbiblically forgot already… the most typical excuses you hear are that the sabbath was changed to sunday, or that Jesus is our rest therefore God changed his mind on the commandments and we only need to keep 9 out of the 10 commandments… I think christians should stick to keeping all 10 commandments not just 9.

Blasphemy. I'm not a 7th day anything. But I assure you that any teaching that excuses the breaking of God's law, the ten commandments, is easily and readily identifiable as blasphemous heresy.

The book of Revelation tells us which people will be saved. Here John was Rev14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

So he's saying that the ten commandments are done away with, is that mean we can worship idols, murder people, commit adultery, and other things that God Himself commended us not to do🤔

Saint John the Revelator States in Revelation 22:14 without any ambiguity, and I quote him directly: " Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Since I'm writing this on Saturday- - Happy Sabbath everyone 🙏

It is interesting the Christians that claim that we are no longer under the law and that the 10 commandments are done away with, still keep the other 9! For some reason, it is only the 7th Sabbath day that seems to be an issue. Not only do many disregard the Sabbath, but also fail to rest on the Sunday as the intention.

I will give you a few reasons from my research why the Sabbath day is still the 7th Day, and why the commandments are still applicable today: in somewhat historical order. I will also provide some reasons why Sunday is not the Sabbath. Sorry, long post but it helps me with my Bible Studies as well! 🙂

Reasons why the Sabbath Day and the Law of God are still applicable today.

1. God only blessed one day of the week and made it holy. The 7th day. 'Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating he had done' Gen 2:3

2. God instructed the Israelites to collected twice the amount of manna on Friday so they could rest on the Sabbath. This was also a test of their faith.

"Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not. 5 On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily.” Exodus 16:4-5

Notice the sabbath day was being kept BEFORE the 10 commandments were given. It was an ETERNAL law.

3. Of course the commandment itself: “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. Exodus 20:8-10"

4. The Sabbath day was created as an ETERNAL covenant between God and his people:

"Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. 17 It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’” Exodus 31:16-17"

5. The Sabbath day is for all mankind:

“And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD, to minister to him, to love the name of the LORD, and to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath and does not profane it, and holds fast my covenant— Isaiah 56:6"

6. Isaiah the prophet says that the Sabbath will still be kept in heaven and on the new earth:

“For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the LORD, so shall your offspring and your name remain. 23 From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the LORD. Isaiah 66:22-23"

7. Jesus clarifies the purpose of the Sabbath as it was being abused by the Jews and turned into something it was never meant to be. He reinforced the importance of the Sabbath for mankind

"And he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. Mark 2:27"

8. Jesus claims authority over the Sabbath and provides examples of how it should be kept.

"For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.” Matthew 12:8 1 He said to them, “Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? Matthew 12:11"

9. When Jesus was talking to the disciples about the future troubles that were to take place and the destruction of the temple, (which was 70 odd years after his death) he made a point of telling people to make sure they would not be in a position where they would have to flee on the Sabbath Day. This re-enforces the notion that the Sabbath was not done away with after his death.

"Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. Matthew 24:20"

10. Jesus also re-enforced the commandments and the relationship between the law and himself, when he told his disciples:

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. John 14:15

11. Jesus honored the 4th commandment both during his time on earth and even in his death, he rested on the 7th Day. It also shows that Mary honored the Sabbath by not going to the tomb on Saturday.

"Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. Matthew 28:1"

12. Jesus was quite clear that the 10 commandments would never be done away with, they are ETERNAL

-> “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:17-19"

-> " But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void. Luke 16:17"

13. Paul on his missionary journey not only continued to teach on the Sabbath but also to present the word of God, re-enforcing that both are still applicable and not done away with, even though the emphases of the teaching was on Salvation through Jesus and not by works. He continued to preach on Sabbath, and Jews and Gentiles came to listen. Remember, the Sabbath was given to both Jews and Gentiles!

"Now Paul and his companions set sail from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia. And John left them and returned to Jerusalem, 14 but they went on from Perga and came to Antioch in Pisidia. And on the Sabbath day they went into the synagogue and sat down. 15 After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent a message to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, say it.” Acts 13:13-15 "As they went out, the people begged that these things might be told them the next Sabbath. 43 And after the meeting of the synagogue broke up, many Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who, as they spoke with them, urged them to continue in the grace of God. 44 The next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord. Acts 13:42-44"

14. Once again, Paul emphasizes the Law of God and the roles it plays. We are not saved by keeping the law alone, but we are saved through Jesus Christ and the grace that he offers, however; as a result of our Love for Jesus, we uphold the law.

-> "For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. Romans 2:13"
-> "Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law. Romans 3:31
-> Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient 1 Timothy 1:8-9"

15. In Revelation, at the end of times when we look at the persecution of the Christian church, we see that Satan is only furious at those people who have chosen to keep the commandments of God.

"Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea. Revelation 12:17"

For me it is rather a simple formula. By loving Jesus, it should lead to the keeping of his commandments. No one can keep the commandments perfectly because of Sin; therefore, we need the grace of Jesus Christ. The Sabbath was made not only as a covenant for man, but also a blessing. You can worship on any day you want, however only the 7th day was blessed and made holy. Nothing can change this, not even man.
