David Gilmour - Comfortably Numb - 28/09/2024 live in Circo Massimo - Roma

Il Dio della chitarra che è diventato umano..
a un certo punto sul pezzo dei pezzi gli si rompe la mitica tracolla, appartenuta a Jimi Hendrix, che sostiene la stratocaster nera. Segue un cambio rapido dello strumento, ma te ne accorgi solo riguardando il video, e la musica ritorna quella degli angeli.
Vedere Gilmour dal vivo è sempre una fortuna e questo evento ce lo porteremo nel cuore per sempre. Il suono della chitarra è inconfondibile,unico,stratosferico, la voce vibrante ogni tanto lascia spazio all’età che avanza ma non per questo le emozioni che trasmette sono inferiori..
David, quasi ottantenne, domina dal palco davanti a oltre 15000 spettatori, toccando le corde della chitarra come solo lui sa fare, facendosi 2 ore e mezza di concerto Rock.
Non credo sia da tutti e così la mia ammirazione per il suo talento oggi cresce di più!
Vai Zio Dave: Più vero, più umano, “meno preciso” di un tempo ma sempre il più grande.

I understand those who say, Gilmour hes old, or not the same as he was, but when you consider this mans work, his life, what amazing pieces of art he has given to the world, cant those people just shut up a bit and enjoy Gilmour last shows ? I was in Rome at two shows - 28th and 29th September. I have couple of comments for people being rude towards DG:
1.) both concerts were you cannot review concerts by bad sounding videos on youtube
2.) perfect concert does NOT require perfect
3.) people who had opportunity to see DG xyz times with Pink Floyd or solo, should remain quiet mainly because there are tons of young generation who are incredibly GRATEFUL they have opportunity to experience David Gilmour live. I saw him twice on Rattle That Lock Tour too.... and its nearly decade ago, for me, those Rome shows were equal experience, not because of they were "perfect" performances - they dont need to be, but they were perfect concerts - including mistakes (if you dont know that, constat pressure for "singing perfect" was behind making autotune which completely destroys music and even backing tapes and lip-synch in concert business!!!! live show naturally equals to mistakes and flaws.... which everyone can discuss in details because EVERY such a moment is recorded today.... isnt it?) and some sort of "self-admitted" vulnerability or They were TWO nights I will NEVER forget and noone has a right to judge that by watching crappy youtube video without overall context of concert itself. Its just silly and frankly speaking - stupid.

È stato esaltante essere al cospetto del chitarrista di quella che probabilmente è la band che mi ha regalato più emozioni nell' arco della vita. La sua chitarra mi ha ispirato e fatto sognare tante volte, e vederlo dal vivo è stata un' esperienza indimenticabile. Confotably numb alla fine poi mi ha fatto volare! Grande David❤️🎸

Posso dire io c’ero! Per la quarta volta in assoluto, ed il 28/9 per me è stata doppietta, avendolo visto anche la sera prima.
A comfortably numb ero lí, di nuovo sotto al palco, in prima fila. Che ricordo indelebile, che avrò, anche del simpatico imprevisto! 😍

Was at the Friday and first concert in Rome. I don't care about others opinion, it was magic and goosebumps all the way. David Gilmour is just a legend and he surely showcased it in a brilliant way on Fridays concert. I'm glad I could have this experience together with my family.❤❤❤❤❤❤

It's not just a broken guitar strap.
It's a sad moment in music history.
This guitar strap belonged to Jimmi Hendrix.
Davis Gilmour received it as a gift from his wife Polly Samson for his 60th birthday.
Such a shame that it's broken now.
I hope the great Phil Taylor can repair it - like he was able to repair all of David Gilmour's guitars over the last 50 years.
