I agree mostly what reduces our potential partner choices is our standards. However, I think it’s not only women being ‚too picky‘, some guys just swipe right on every single person just to maximize their chances. It doesn’t mean they would really consider this person long-term relationship material. But yes for people it would be better if they stop looking for the model type that is also educated, kind, financially well off, romantic, still has enough time for you and was never married with no children. I've found I'm not picky enough, and stay in relationships with "projects", while running from men who have things to offer. You can be single due to a lack of standards, because you'll pretty much date whomever comes your way, instead of someone who is good for you, and is compatible.

Dating apps are 2/3 men and 1/3 women but this doesn't reflect society and there's already a big imbalance in the ratio.

40% of users (yeah almost half) are married or in a committed relationship. Side chick or side boy isn't a relationship standard.
