1. Exercise
2. Eat a large variety of plants (spices count, smoothies help)
3. Breathe 10 minutes a day to stimulate the vagus nerve (4 seconds in through nose, 6 seconds out through pursed lips)

Already started listing my 30 plant varieties…2 days in and 12 plants down. I’m determined to improve my gut microbiome. Food is medicine. Food is mood.

Dr. B!!! This guy is a legend!!! My husband struggled with IBS and after having a friend diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, it was a wake up call that he needed to work on things before it got worse. Dr. B was the most helpful and now two years later, my hubby’s IBS is in remission. ❤❤❤

I was 140 kg, dropped to 8% fat while working out, my life changed so so much words wouldn’t do it justice … now I’m in a constant bulk state 10-13% fat and I’m super happy and energetic.

As a dietitian, I can say Dr. Bulsiewicz is spot on. Focus on the fiber and plant diversity -- many things will improve. This single change (increasing fiber) has helped my clients have clear colonoscopies after years of having pre-cancerous polyps (prior to eating too little fiber.) There is more that can be done, but your body needs fiber. Thank you for having him on Lewis.

I don't have a degree in medicine or psychology to prove so only experiencing & thriving ❤ I knew this by intuition and practiced ❤ Absolutely, absolutely true! ❤
I've never been able to enjoy icecreams due to tonsils, in childhood till about now... It's gone after forty years ❤
I've been chronically constipated, it's gone ❤
I was depressed fortge longest period, of course, it's disappeared ❤
The pile of meds are only getting expired ❤
Heal your trauma, address what seems wrong to you ❤ You do not need anyone else's validation ❤
You are enough ❤
Love n peace ❤

What a wonderful person he is to share his story of his struggles & expose his human vulnerability, to help others. The story of meeting his wife & her influence on his lifestyle is so touching & shows how much we really do need each other.

I'm recovering from HPylori. The first abx treatment failed. I've refused quadruple therapy in favour of 100% focus on fixing my microbiome. It's going really well but what has shocked me is how much happier I feel. I never expected that 🙏

I've watched this through twice now - once to take it all in and once to take notes. I've taken it all on board and 4 days in I'm up to 32 plant varieties - it just takes some imagination but its definitely doable. Once it becomes second nature it should be easy too. Thank you both x

An invaluable public service! Dr B’s clear and concise explanations leave no confusion, and Lewis’ pertinent questions & minimal interruption move the dialogue to a deeply satisfying conclusion. Thank you, both, absolutely well done.

Absolutely! The food we eat plays a significant role in our brain health and function. Certain nutrients in food can impact our brain chemistry and cognitive abilities. For example, omega-3 fatty acids found in fish like salmon can support brain function, while antioxidants in fruits and vegetables can help protect brain cells from damage.

Thank you for this video. Incredible information! Can negative emotions affect your digestion? I grew up with unhappy screaming parents and as a child I always had stomach aches and pains. I now realize as an adult maybe I couldnt digest food well due to the fear in my family and always hearing negative screaming. Now I have less issues with digestion and visit my parents less due to the negativity that is constant. Thanks again for this informative video!

I am severely constipated!!! Will make an appointment never having a movement. Scheduled for a colonoscopy with a gastroenterologist that is really overweight (saying without judgment) that makes me a little weary.
