Why did Jesus say, 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?' Why did Jesus feel forsaken and abandoned while He was on the cross?

Imagine Jesus gazing into the eyes of those who tortured him, the ones who drove the nails into his body and him knowing " this blood shed, i do for you too". It's quite powerful to think about

God cant be around sin, not only did his son Jesus take on Sin, he took on EVERY SIN!!! And for that moment, Jesus, who was one with his father, never being apart from his father.. felt completely distant and separated from him 💔

I 💯 understand why Jesus cried these words. To be the son of God and endure the worst suffering imaginable, I do not need an explanation. I feel the same every day of my life. Faithful, yet tortured. Albeit, I will still keep my faith as Jesus did.

The more we read the Bible the more questions we have about what it says. Easy to read but difficult to understand it.

As Jesus was both man and God at the same time, in the form of Jesus, I have read that when he said this, it was the human side of Him reacting.

The suffering that characterizes individual human life is so intense that even if God himself undergoes it, it will test his faith to the point that he will not believe in his own existence.

WE CAN NEVER DIMINISH THE SUFFERING JESUS WENT THROUGH FOR US. He was forsaken in this moment and this moment only because he had taken on all the sin in the world and become sin. We deserve to be forsaken therefore the only just thing god could do to reconcile man with god is forsake his only son in our place. Attempting to diminish or lessen the suffering that Jesus truthfully took on our behalf is a dangerous thing. We cannot lose sight that he was given the punishment WE deserve therefore it is only logical to conclude that God did actually forsaken him in this moment. Complete disconnection with the father at this moment was the only justifiable punishment for what sin brings. And knowing that is a freeing experience and brings a whole new meaning for what God himself did for those who don't deserve it. At times it is incomprehensible. Nonetheless we cannot deny that he was forsaken because otherwise we have no hope of not being forsaken.

I recently watched the passion of christ. When God gave his last moment he mentioned the word "forsaken" which brought me to figure out what he was actually meaning.
But as farther I go into details the whole explanation just brings me right back to the same question. I'm so sorry but everyone who tried to explain it or is explaining it just seems like they try to give the spot light to how Jesus saved us. (I personally think that is real love)
But the actual question remains on why did he mentioned that to his father? I saw people mentioned psalm 22 where he also mentioned that word "forsaken"

Yet I saw in the movie "passion of christ" that Jesus went on his own and also cried out to his Father telling him why have you left me alone.

It's been a long time since I've saw the movie but since I'm reading the Bible I just wanted a clear path a straight answer no going around the bush with the answer yet I don't think anyone really knows the answer they just assumed. I hope someone can correct me because I'm trying to get in the correct road to heaven if my God the father spirit and Jesus christ has me written on there list.

I also want to apologize to my father to why I have that question but I hope someone can bring me to the light

John 10:16-18
16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

I guess only Jesus can answer that question.

When Jesus said, "my god my god, why have you forsaken me, he knew that, us his children just like Jesus his child asked, we do, why have you forsaken us he did not that is why he sent down his heart his son to die .jesus never asked his father he asked us to reflect .that is sacrifice 🙏 that is self reflection ❤️

He said that because in jewish teaching if you want to pray but are sick or cant recite the hole prayer you should say the first fews words of your prayer outloud and continue the rest in your mind and heart and your prayer will be accepted

In my opinion, Christ human side cried in pain and felt forsaken for a moment due to the overwhelming punishment, but once it was done, he said, it is finished, that means he paid all our sins with his painful sacrifice. He paid our ransom to the devil who is the ruler of the world, and who believes that this ransom was paid by his sacrifice , will be free to go to Jesus Kingdom .

Imagine going through all this pain and torment and moments before death you second question god. Did he not trust that this was god’s plan all along?

Read Psalm 22.
Now... answer these questions: (1) When did the Psalms get numbered? (2) When were lines and verses in any Scripture of the Bible numbered? (3) How did people know what particular Psalm or Book of Scripture you were talking about BEFORE numbers were given?

And THERE'S your answer for why Jesus said ''My God! My God! Why hast thou forsaken me?'' He was NOT in despair. He was quoting... in order to silence those who dared to ask why he didn't take himself down from the cross.

Does anyone know why when I use Google translate it translates it as “Why did you die?”
