I love this exercise. It's probably the most intense upper body exercise in the books, fills you with adrenaline afterwards. You feel like an absolute beast lifting over 100kg off the floor several times

I will say for someone in this line of work to maintain his physique the way jay has.. From 2007 to 2023 VERY RARELY do you get to see guys maintaining good health as well as physique like that.. Bravo jay.

Wide grip for upper back traps and close grip for a bigger focus on lats.

These are really good, but a great alternative is to set up an inclined bench backward in front of a low cable pulley for low cable rows.

You put your chest against the bench and pull from the lower cable pulley with a lat bar or close grip handle. It allows you to save your lower back for deadlift variations and whatnot.

You may need to chock the bench with something to keep it from moving forward, though.
