Ridiculous that Baldwin was ever charged at all. On a movie set, the armorer is wholly responsible for the firearms, firearm safety, and blank ammunition. That live ammo was on the set is the fault of the armorer. That a gun with live ammo was handed to the actor is the fault of the armorer. Actors are not firearm experts. To the actor, the firearm is a prop. Shame on the prosecuting attorney for wasting time not pursuing the actual criminal negligence suspect.

Question now is, Will Alec Baldwin be testifying against Hannah Gutierrez Reed? Will he be a Witness for the State? If so this could allow for Alec Baldwin to be Cross Examined and Questioned about his side of the story. Interesting Question. Is it possible that if he is a witness in the case against the Armorer could his testimony under cross examination lead to discovery and new charges being filed?

So fooling around he pointed a gun at a person that was standing off the set not even in the scene and pulled the trigger and killed her. This piece of sheet should be dealt with accordingly. Evidently he is being protected.

The armorer says the gun was empty when she checked it. I dont see why should we believe Baldwin who says he did not check the gun and not the armourer who says she did. They took the gun without her being present. How would they even know the gun was empty? Anyone could load the gun.

So if you shoot someone you just say someone handed you the gun and told you it was unloaded.. Sounds good and I'm sure it will be used as an excuse. The user of any gun is responsible to make sure it is safe to use.

Cutting corners is what ultimately got the lady killed, and Alec was in charge of everything as it was his movie, for that he should be charged with at least some form of negligence. Even if not jail time, then a great deal of community service and fines. And finishing the film is in very poor taste. I feel sorry for all involved, but they really need to send a message, hire the right and actually trained people, like the armorer, and always treat the gun props like real guns, always check them thoroughly. There is no excuse for this. It was an accident, but could have easily been prevented.
