If it was you or me that shot 2 people accidentally we would have been in jail already.

I cannot believe the total stupidity that I hear in this chat about weapon safety. It doesn't matter if it's real life or a movie set. The fundamentals of weapon safety applies to prop guns just as much as it does real guns. You never take a weapon from somebody without insuring that it is clear. Nobody should ever load your weapon you should load your own weapon. No one is responsible for that weapon other than the person holding that weapon at the time.

I believe Mr Davy Hall should be responsible for that because Baldwin was being filmed and passed the gun and the director should be responsible for if it's loaded or not I believe that this was a setup

This could of been so unavoidable
What a shame

If he gets a job in prison, he will actually be more useful than an actor.

It's a real gun, not a prop gun.

Why were there live rounds on a film set who took them on the set you can't mix blanks with live they look different

Good. The first thing he did was lie about what happened. He clearly pulled the trigger.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving guy. He needs to reflect on his actions, his words, his beliefs and his massive ego. He runs at the mouth way too much and shows his condescending entitlement everytime.

Considering what this charge carries in the state of New Mexico, it's nothing more than a slap on the hand. And more likely than not, he'll be given a suspended sentence.

Negligence is adjoined to the armorer for it was her responsibility to make certain that blanks were placed in the cylinders, 'not live rounds'.

Anyone who handles a gun is required to check the weapon and practice basic safety measures.
1. Cardinal rule: always check the firearm you are given...even if it was just checked right in front of you
2. Always point the firearm in a safe direction...never at someone unless you intend to kill them.
3. Always treat the firearm as if it is loaded with live ammunition...even if it is a fake or prop gun.
4. Never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot (and kill).
5. Always be sure of your target and what's beyond it.

Mr. Baldwin's FAILURE to do any of these caused the unnecessary death of another. Any ONE of the above steps would have been enough.
THAT is called "involuntary manslaughter".
Involuntary = unintended.
Manslaughter = unjustifiable death of another person.
---
Add to this the following points:
1. FBI have reviewed the gun and noted the gun could not have been fired unless the trigger was pulled.
2. Mr. Baldwin admits to cocking the gun but denies pulling the trigger.
3. There were reports of live ammunition mixed in with blanks PRIOR to this incident.
4. This was NOT the first time on the set that live ammunition was accidentally shot from a prop gun that wasn't supposed to have live ammunition.
5. It was Mr. Baldwin's responsibility, as the producer, to ensure a safe working environment. FAILURE.
6. People are reported to have quit the show shortly before the incident because they felt it was unsafe.

The evidence builds up to negligence on Mr. Baldwin's part.

There should never be live ammo on set. It’s the armorer’s fault and responsibility not Alec’s

take a real gun, check bullets always
don't know how to check -don't take

I think the DA should be embarrassed with this charge against Alec Baldwin. So, you made a deal with the man who was suppose to make sure the gun was safe and had a fake bullet to use to make a statement against Alec Baldwin when it was his job to safeguard the gun? Many of my family and friends are laughing. You have a DA who won’t go after the ones who do need to face justice but they go after the wrong people on the filming set! It’s pretty obvious someone planted that bullet to maybe harm Alec Baldwin. Someone knew he would be handling that gun that day. Do your job right!!!!

Maybe they should also blame the catering company for giving them brain fog. LMAO the Professional's who handed the gun to Alec are responsible.
