Good, the fact that he states he never pulled the trigger and it just “went off” in his hand is laughable. A gun expert went over the same gun and stated it is physically impossible for that type of revolver to just go off.

This is slight misinformation. This was a REAL gun. You don't mistake it as a "block of wood" Using the term "prop gun" is a confusing and misleading description. Make no mistake. This same gun was used for recreational target practice earlier that week. Alec has handled these guns before and knew it was a real, potentially deadly weapon. That being said, it's up to prop masters and gun experts in the set to pass it thru many checks before it finds itself into an actor's hands. In that respect, I do feel that Baldwin had every right to belive the gun, at that point, was safe. What a tragedy all around.

I don't understand why, on a movie set, there was any live ammunition. Help me, someone.

It's about time. That woman should be alive at home with her husband and her child.

Accountability for the rich/connected/well known shouldn't take longer than it does for any of us...

It’s Baldwin’s responsibility to check the firearm! That’s basic firearm responsibility, doesn’t matter if it was on a movie set or at a range or wherever. The law doesn’t give caveats for celebrity or movie set situations.

No live ammo should be on a movie set. I would still check the gun myself before pointing it at a person.

How? The primary question that EVERYONE should be asking is: how did a live round get into that weapon?

I don't care if he should have cleared it himself, prop master said this or that, or someone yelled cold gun. Why was there a live round on a movie set, how did it get into a working weapon, and how did EVERYONE miss it? Answering that is the only way police will find the correct person to charge.

He lied about pulling the trigger! This is a proven fact! If he refuses a plea agreement he should receive the maximum five year sentence!

I don’t care if the Pope handed me a firearm and told me it was not loaded I would check it myself, especially if I was going to point it at someone. He could have pointed the gun a little to the right or left of her and the cameras would not have picked that up. You NEVER point a gun at anything that you don’t want to destroy, the rules of firearm safety. EVEN if you think it’s not loaded .

The prop master— the one who handed Alec what he thought/ was told was a prop gun, that’s who’s at fault sadly.

Let’s be honest the prop master will definitely be held responsible but it’s unlikely Baldwin will be. There is only one person responsible for gun safety on that set. Unless they can show Baldwin intentionally loaded that gun with live ammunition after the prop master handed him that gun he holds no responsibility. I hope this leads to better safety standards on film sets.

Unreal how the husband she left behind would even consider working on the set to finish this movie

“The gun went off” -- you mean he pulled the trigger. Guns don't just go off.

The prop inspector is the only one to blame she was supposed to make sure it wasn’t real

So the person who handed him the gun, the person who said it was not loaded, the person responsble gets probation in a plea deal.
What is the DA thinking.

If Alec was under the impression he was holding a prop… why is he being charged w this?

I don't think it's Alec's fault, it's the prop master's fault.

The producer yelled cold gun . How you can blame Baldwin is crazy . There are behind the scenes people that have to be to blame

Alec was also the producer which makes him responsible for anything that happens on set. It was his negligence that allowed cast members to target practice with that gun on set and how the bullet got there in the first place! Being an actor and having an armorer on set doesn’t remove an actor’s responsibility to gun safety!
