This EXTREMELY tragic situation is 100% the fault of Hannah Gutierrez-Reed. I am a female former shooting champion (national) and I know my way around lots of guns. I also am a female and I worked at two tv networks (CBS and NBC) in the mid 90s. I was on a LOT of sets and knew a fair amount of armorers in passing. I don't say that to brag but to say that I know what I am talking about. I personally know three (two are still teaching) armorers that I conferred with on this case. ALL of them agreed that Hannah Gutierrez Reed is to blame. HER ONLY JOB was to clean, load (with dummies...of which she is one herself), guard, test, pass to the actors when needed, and LOCK the guns when not in use. This was a western so, many scenes called for a gun and many people interviewed said she was nowhere in sight for a majority of scenes. Instead, she was clicking selfies, trying to get with some crew guys, and focused on wardrobe where she reportedly accepted an additional position (she couldn't do one job so no telling why she got a second position on that set).
Rumor is she brought the ammo to the set to impress a guy she was scamming and she left THREE LOADED GUNS on a cart for the crew to shoot in-between scenes (where over a hundred people passed back and forth throughout the day). Can we say recipe for disaster?!!! This chick should 100% get minimum 25 years (imho) but she will likely only get 1.5 years as is the law for involuntary manslaughter. where the crime occurred. She may not have intended anyone to get hurt or ultimately die but it is truly her fault. I also have to give some blame to Baldwin for cutting corners on this low budget nonsense. He ultimately did not hire this dumb itchb, (likely done by the line producer or someone hired to staff crew for this film) but he trusted morons to do their job and they failed him. I am NOT a fan of Baldwin and actually don't like him at all. He came for gun owners many times and you could say karma came for him but I digress...

I just don't understand how the main guilty party isn't just the armory person? What am I not understanding? It's awful all the way around, but how is it not just the person that got live rounds into the set and into the gun?

Halyna's Husband (Matt) wants and deserves justice! Their son (Andros) was only 9 yrs old when Halyna was killed.
Alec gets to go home to his wife and his children get to have their Mother.

I'd be curious how many actors check the weapons handed to them on set before a scene. I'd guess most don't, figuring the prop people know what they're doing.

So the middle man gets a deal of probation to testify against the others!!! That to me means the evidence alone is sufficient. They needed someone to turn and throw the other 2 under the bus to make their case more credible. This is what I don't trust about our "justice" system. They want to make an example out of someone instead of the laws and regulations on movie sets being changed.... like how about making it illegal to use real guns in the first place!

Negligence is adjoined to the armorer for it was her responsibility to make certain that blanks were placed in the cylinders, 'not live rounds'.

Alec Baldwin is not the one they're after, it is the Firearms specialist, when they're making certain screenshots there's no live ammunition ! it's all blanks! when they use live ammunition there's no one on the set that can get shot! The question is did they handing the wrong live ammunition firearm? Or who loaded the live bullet into the firearm?
