He should have been punished. It's gun safety 101 that you check any gun that you are handed so you know it's status. The armorer should have made it safe, but that obviously didn't happen. Regardless, I don't care if I see 20 people clear a weapon, when it hits my hands, I'm still going to clear it myself. He's completely liable. So is the armorer.

The fact that he denied having pulled the trigger, and everyone from the FBI and all the rest, have proven beyond all doubt, that the trigger was indeed pulled. Means he wasn't competent enough to touch the firearm. He was required to check and verify that the gun was unloaded, beforehand. The gun had a live round in it. He failed to do his duties as a producer and the guy in charge of set safety.
