STOP 🛑 Getting Up Like THIS In Pregnancy! #shorts #pregnancy

I see so many ultrasound video where Mom’s are on there back and then they get straight up 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Most women at the end of pregnancy cannot handle this much intro-abdominal pressure. If you notice that when you do this you get “doming” vertically down your midline … then it’s too much pressure and stretching the muscles/tissues apart even more. Increasing risk for Diastasis Recti.
Protect your core by rolling to your side and pushing up with your arms. Also exhale and pull your baby in (shrinking your stomach) while you sit up (or do any challenging move).

I hear hundreds of positive birth stories now and I love hearing how preparing your mind and body makes such a huge difference in your birth. Of course, I'm so excited for you and I really believe you can have your positive birth and beautiful baby!

My mother in law had me practicing this from the second trimester. I’m so thankful.

Well crap. I’ve been doing that wrong for 34 weeks. 🤦‍♀️

The irony is the only time I sit up like that first one is when I’m in the tiny bed at the doctors office 😂

U explained really very well. Most of the YouTubers tell how to and not to get up from bed but nobody gives explanations. Even my doc didn't give me. So never believed this earlier. Now onwards I will take care. 👍👍

I don’t know what pregnant woman that will even have the strength to rise up like that over and over again. I had no choice but to roll over, or roll out of bed literally 😂😂😂 I couldn’t even stand up too quick or I was going back down by fainting, I learned this the hard way!!

So true. I'm 19 weeks pregnant and when I use method #1 to get out of bed I feel extreme pain in my pelvic region. When I use method #2, I don't feel that pain.

I keep having to check myself because I am so used to using my core strength for everything. Thank you for the instructional video 😊❤

Below is what helped me deal with the pelvic & hip popping from trying to lift yourself up in the morning. I no longer pop, or have those sharp or dull aches in the lower regions from trying to sit up. Baby puts alof of pressure on everything down there. all 4’s will release all that and significantly reduce this popping and pain because the weight is evenly distributed. and not all pressed to one area.

Start from laying on your side, then turn to being your stomach and with your knees holding you up, butt in the air, then from elbows, push up until you’re on all fours, (wrists and knees, ) like a table top, and push yourself up from there, to sitting up/kneeling until you’re up and out of bed that’s the best way i’ve found :)

I started doing this second trimester mainly because I was getting pelvic girdle pain and thankfully have been consistent with it into late pregnancy as well.

At my most recent appointment at 30 weeks, they made me lay down so doctor can feel my tummy and I had to get up like this because there’s no space for me to turn over. She didn’t even help me or say anything…

This is absolutely common sense…. I’m shocked how many women do not know this.

I’m just now seeing this video 😮
Im almost 39 weeks pregnant and based on how my pregnancy has gone, I’m honestly surprised that this had to be shown. I couldn’t raise up the first way even if I tried lbs. My body naturally started to raise itself up the 2nd way. I’m not sure how anyone would have the strength to do it the first way, seems nearly impossible and/or like the harder approach.

Sometimes I can't even roll on my side because my pelvis and legs hurt so much
