There is a big difference between the two.
Training for strength means focusing on improving your performance on the compound movements (especially bench press, squat and deadlift but possibly also overhead press, row and dip).
Training for size means you have specific goals as to what you want your physique to look like and you dedicate more volume to those muscles, you still have to train hard, but you do more reps and more sets because the goal is not to get stronger but to stimulate enough growth to make the muscles bigger.

That is the difference. Bodybuilders in the golden age understood that but nowadays due to people like Mark Rippetoe, people think that doing a strength training program is going to get big, and then they wonder why they don't look like they lift.

While a powerlifter will only care about how much he can lift, a bodybuilder will sacrifice his performance to get bigger muscles, that can mean training your arms at the beginning of your workout if they are the weakest part of your physique.
Because I have long limbs, they are what I prioritize to look big, so in 1 week I do: 15 sets of triceps, 15 sets of biceps, 6 sets of forearm flexion, 6 sets of forearm extension, 15 sets of quads, 15 sets of hamstrings and I do one exercise for each head of the shoulders (front, side, and rear) and the bench press gets only 6 sets because my chest is the least important part of my physique and because it is bigger than the rest.

I got a question about progressive overload and hypertrophy

On one lift (all sets to failure) my sets went
1x10
2x6
2x4

Should I keep the same weight until I can get all sets to be 10 reps and then restart the process with increased weight? For hypertrophy or is progressive overload for hypertrophy else?

I mean hypertrophy does build more muscle which is not what u want if u are an athlete

I mean there isn't much difference. Except that strength training requires heavier loads while hypertrophy can be reached at any weight and rep range--as long as you have the mind muscle connection it doesn't matter.

Not really doesnt work that way if youre bodybuilding.
