Closed chain exercises are a great way to really feel the serratus anterior activate by pushing AWAY from the floor.
.
Here is a Scapula Push-Up ➡️Downward facing dog
.
To perform this exercise:
1️⃣Find an elevated surface to perform a scapula push-up (which is performed by protracting your shoulder blade). Protraction = Pushing your body away from the floor
2️⃣Transition into a downward dog position. Maintain scapula engagement. In addition to improving your shoulder motion, it will help address extension in your thoracic spine as well.
✅ Focus on the upward rotation at the Scapula again.
❌Avoid shrugging as this comprises scapular elevation which is often a compensation of excessive upper trapezius or levator scapulae activation.
💪🏽To progress this exercise in terms of shoulder demand, perform this exercise on the floor.

hi can u guys make video about shoulder impingement I got one from bench press and it really hurts... would be cool to see how to recover... stretch, strengthen, treat, etc :) great vid like always
